Coaches can help you chart a path in local government, find information you need, and guide you to the answers that are right for you. Coaching offers value for people at any stage in their careers by providing coachees with the opportunity to see their situation and opportunities from a fresh perspective.
Coaching sessions can take on many forms. Some are casual, informal networking and check-ins. Other pairs set up a more formal relationship and continue over time. You can also choose to get perspectives from more than one coach. For more details, see the ABCs of 1-1 Coaching in the Coaching Resources section.
If you are a member of ICMA, you can request additional credits an unlimited number of times. Email coac...@icma.org to request more credits. In addition, if you are a member of one of the ICMA State Association Coaching Partners or one of the ICMA CoachConnect Outreach Partners, you can also request additional credits.
Those who are not a member of ICMA or the above organizations will receive 12 credits as a trial period (about 12 months of coaching). To receive more credits and keep connecting with coaches, we invite you to join ICMA or your state affiliate! Learn more about joining ICMA.
The Center for Major Exploration (CME) assists students to choose a major and explore potential careers. Nationally, anywhere between 60 - 80% of college students change majors one or more times, so you are not alone. Contact us if you need help picking a major.

Coaches work one-on-one with first-year students to teach skills to help students maximize their college experience both inside and outside the classroom. Through regular meetings, students will establish goals and develop objectives to reach goals with their coach. Coaches will also promote the utilization of campus support services and student engagement on campus.
At this time, coaching is limited to pre-selected students. However, students requesting additional support are encouraged to contact the Mane Connect coaching office for an appropriate referral.

There is a wide variety. Which ones are there? What are the advantages and disadvantages, how do they work and what are some experiences of coaches? I did some research, asked coaches that work with these platforms and made a summary.
Disadvantage: Your hourly rate will most likely be lower than your personal rate. A platform makes money by selling your services at a higher rate than they pay you. This means most coaches can charge more when they work directly for clients or companies. That being said you can save time and money spend on marketing and acquisition. Someone platforms also offer trainings and a community so value in other forms. And there are big differences when it comes to hourly rate, some platforms still pay really good hourly rates.
Coaching platform focused on companies to support their employees with personalized development through one-to-one coaching. According to the website they only work with ICT certified experts and licensed therapists with a minimum of 1,0000 supervised hours. (I have met coaches who do not have 1,000 supervised hours yet still work for BetterUp) And they say they have a strict selection process.
I can make more privately. Still, it's been a source of income with no resources spent on sales and marketing. They're very supportive of their coaches, with great opportunities for professional development. Overall, I'm pleased
Just like BetterUp CoachHub is a digital coaching provider, offering people development to companies globally. They build their own platform on which, based on continuous assessments and feedback employees can monitor their growth and track how close they are to reaching set goals. They have quite a strict selection process for coaches.
On-demand coaching is their focus. I like their mission: to give more people access to high-quality conversations, which generate insight for individuals, organisations and society. They offer a less traditional and more flexible coaching solution.
Every coach can register on Noomii. There are no specific requirements. They focus mainly on individuals, not companies. I think platforms like Noomii can be a great way when you start out as a coach and do not have a lot of personal referrals or clients in some other way yet. It could be a good way to get the ripple effect going.
