hi, i'm helping a group here in berkeley to find a geo-programmer to
do some contracting work. you'll be building a web-based map interface
to some data in a postGIS database. it's spatial, environmental data
with some permission logic depending on the user type and the status
of the data. someone else is handling the CRUD for the database. so,
you get to do the fun stuff: pull data from the database and display
it in a webGIS.
some bullet points of what you'll need:
+ mapserver or mapnik to display dynamic content
+ some scripting language, preferably python
+ postgres, postGIS -- preferably experience in admin'ing a database.
+ linux/unix experience.
+ openlayers
if you're interested or have any questions, you can contact yoram --
rubin [at] ce.berkeley.edu -- or send me an email and i'll get you in
touch.
