via envy24 with baudline

has anyone yet tried the via envy24 series of soundcards with baudline?

the claims would indicate quite an improvement over the typical cards we use.

24bit. (comparing enob with this would be quite interesting)
192000sr.
25-35db greater snr than the average card at

comments seem to indicate driver support under baudline's oses is
functional, although a bit rough.

baudline's 136db range might need to be increased slightly, 24b would
in theory be capable of 144db. adding some room for decimation makes
160db seem like a nice target, but it's probably unnecessary.

Baudline should work fine with the envy24 series of cards. Which brand/model do you have? Could you post the text output to the command "baudline -sysinfo"

If you have problems with the envy24 card and the OSS driver/emulation then you could always use JACK. In fact JACK is currently the only way to utilize synchronized multiple channels (> 2) with baudline.

Note that baudline internally stores sample data in 16-bit precision. So a 24-bit ADC / DAC won't get you any more numeric resolution in baudline other than the fact that most 24-bit converters are cleaner than 16-bit ones. There are future plans for internal native 32-bit resolution in baudline which would increase the dynamic range as you suggested.  Can't state an extact timeline for this feature, it would be a great feature, funding would definitely push this along.
