Hello

I am having a problem installing Ghini on a Linux Mint 20 system. When I run the installation script I get a syntax error in the setup.py file at line 168:

 File "setup.py", line 168
    print cmd1
          ^
SyntaxError: Missing parentheses in call to 'print'. Did you mean print(cmd1)?
  File "setup.py", line 168

I'm not sure how to resolve this have you any ideas?
Regards
Andrew

hi Andrew.

thank you for your interest in ghini!  the error you are reporting is due to the difference Python2/3.  ghini.desktop uses Python2.7, while "python" now means Python3.

older systems still send python to Python2.7, apparently Linux Mint 20 is newer than that.

it this enough information for you to work around it yourself, or do you need more assistance?

we have a Telegram private group for faster interaction, send my your Telegram name, I'll add you if you think so.  this is an already known problem, I will make time to solve this shortly.

best regards, Mario Frasca
