Iraqi Arabic Pdf

Wehave a 'learn Arabic' thread, but fusha is emphasized there. As important as it is to know fusha (literary/formal) Arabic - some of us are just in love with colloquial Arabic. Personally I like Iraqi spoken Arabic, so if those of you who know Iraqi Arabic could teach the rest of us words, phrases and expressions I would greatly appreciate it. The more often a word/phrase is used, the more important it is, and the more I'd like you to post it!

P.S.S. Can the first person posting (after me) also set the 'phonetics' being used, and explain the whole number system with the '7's, and '3's, and '8's as in a7sant or 3eib etc. I know the basics, but please lay out the whole thing.

LOL ... well, you know how Arabs (at least most of them, excluding the weird dialects, like the Lebanese and Kuwaiti) differentiate between the different h's the z's, and hamza and 3ein etc. So it needs to be reflected in the written language coz some words have entirely different meanings depending on which one it is (you can imagine the unnecesary confusion if people didn't know which one is meant). So a 7 is the thicker h, as in alhamdulillah. 3 is 3ein, as in 3abdillah.

very, good, i ve never seen some of these expressions before, bcoz i know only egyptian arabic. of course the Standerd classical arabic (fusha) is Unbeatable and if u see someone speaking this arabic (very rapidly) you will enjoy it a lot. But after that, as a second choice, for me, the Egyptian lahga is the smartest. here r some of the words,

erm if you read my post again you'll see i didnt say it was a language...i said accent....and second of all im iraqi..its my accent too lol..i wouldnt make fun of it if it wasnt.. :dry:
