1. AdBrite (http://www.adbrite.com) - I'm currently running their code
on my old blog, which now just one big testing ground
(http://cheesman.typepad.com). The income has been low, but I think if
you have a site with enough traffic/brand awareness, this could be an
interesting route to try.
2. Experclick (http://www.experclick.com) - I just signed up, so
nothing to report. They are, however, advertising like crazy in the
trade pubs, so may be one to watch.
3. PayPerPost (http://www.payperpost.com) - Mucho controversy is
surrounding this new money-for-blogging-about-our-product option.
Considering the fact you can say pretty much anything you want - good
or bad - and get paid, the anti-sentiment may be a tad overblown. You
decide. If you've got thick enough skin, this may be a viable option,
if you have a blog. To date, the companies utilizing this services
aren't targeted well to employment, but this could change. I am not
currently using this service as either an advertiser or publisher.
4. IndieKarma (http://www.indiekarma.com) - Another cash for blogging
option. Users see a frame on your blog and can choose to pay a few
cents for everytime they view your blog. Your blog content is still
visible for free, but becomes a little less appealing with the frame.
I'm not using that to date either, but may try it on my test blog for
giggles.
5. CheezAds (http://www.cheezads.com) - Selfish plug. My own
concoction. Add a piece of HTML code at the end of certain blog posts
and get paid. I would also consider paying for links on non-blog, Web
sites. Find out more - and sign up at no cost - at
http://www.cheezads.com.
Anyone using any of these services or have any other new options
available that might help the group 'battle free'? Also, there's a good
chance you may find more information on these services at
http://www.cheezhead.com.
