What about the other 5-MeO compounds, such as foxy and moxy?
5-MeO-DMT represents just one variety among many psychedelic compounds known as 5-MeOs. These compounds belong to a broader category of substances called 5-MeOs, which are all related to tryptamines. These substances are known for their hallucinogenic properties and number in the hundreds. Most of these compounds are synthetic and not naturally occurring.
Additionally, 5-MeOs are categorized as novel psychoactive substances (NPS). They have the ability to change our emotional state and perception of reality, much like other popular psychedelics such as magic mushrooms, LSD, and MDMA or ecstasy.
Some of these 5-MeO compounds may also offer potential benefits for mental health, although research on this topic is less extensive compared to 5-MeO-DMT.
A well-recognized compound within this category is 5-MeO-DIPT, also known as foxy or foxy-methoxy, followed by 5-MeO-DALT and 5-MeO-MIPT, referred to as moxy. These compounds can induce hallucinations and physical sensations, with their effects varying greatly. Additionally, the durahttps://

What are the dangers involved?
Given that 5-MeO-DMT is classified as illegal, possessing it could lead to arrest, financial penalties, or other severe legal issues. Possessing foxy and moxy, which are derivatives of 5-MeO-DALT, could also result in similar consequences.
There are additional significant dangers linked to 5-MeOs.[22] Although no studies conducted on surveys have reported severe negative effects on participants, there have been cases of fatalities where 5-MeO-DMT was detected in the deceased.
Furthermore, two individuals also experienced harmaline toxicity, a substance found in a potent psychedelic known as ayahuasca. Harmaline contains monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs), which are also found in certain prescription antidepressants, such as those marketed under the names Marplan, Nardil, Emsam, and Parnate. Combining 5-MeO-DMT with any MAOI can be fatal.[24]
5-MeO-DMT can also induce loss of consciousness and a loss of control, potentially leading to choking on vomit or accidental injuries.
Regarding foxy, some individuals have reported feelings of paranoia (e.g., extreme fear of being observed) and confusion, requiring a visit to the emergency room.[26] Moxy has caused rapid heart rate and increased blood pressure in some, necessitating emergency medical attention.[27]
In addition to these symptoms, 5-MeO-DMT can lead to nausea, excessive sweating, and trembling, along with complications with other medications or substances individuals are using, exacerbating their condition.[28]
Given their illegal status,
