Prepare to take the battle to a new metropolis in the all-new Urzikstan map, the new big Battle Royale map in Call of Duty: Warzone, that is sure to excite veterans and newcomers alike. Led by Raven Software, this urban high-density layout has exciting points of interest that feel new but with some nostalgia to them.
Call of Duty: Warzone[b] was a free-to-play battle royale video game developed by Raven Software and Infinity Ward, and published by Activision. The game was released on March 10, 2020, for PlayStation 4, Windows, and Xbox One as a part of 2019's Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and was subsequently connected to 2020's Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War and 2021's Call of Duty: Vanguard, but does not require purchase of any of the aforementioned titles.[2] Warzone allows online multiplayer combat among 150 players and features both cross-platform play and cross-platform progression between the three aforementioned titles.
Warzone is the second main battle royale installment in the Call of Duty franchise, following the "Blackout" mode of Call of Duty: Black Ops 4. Warzone differs from Black Ops 4 by reducing reliance on equipable gadgets and instead encouraging the accumulation of a new in-game currency called "Cash".[8] The game supports up to 150 players in a single match, which exceeds the typical "100 players" size that is seen in other battle royale titles.[9]
The Nazis begin to deploy Nebula V across the world, hitting major cities such as Paris and London, as well as Caldera. In March 1951, Butcher dispatches Task Force Harpy to Caldera to intercept a Nazi arms convoy, where they find a radio emitting a mysterious primal sound. Butcher laments that the release of Nebula V has awakened something powerful near Caldera. The island would eventually become a battleground between two gigantic monsters, the kaiju Godzilla and the gorilla Kong.
For the release of Call of Duty: Vanguard, a second content integration was announced for Warzone by Activision and Sledgehammer Games. As with the Cold War integration, new items from Vanguard, including operator characters and weapons, would be added to Warzone while allowing players to retain items from Modern Warfare and Cold War. An early integration was included with the Cold War Season 6 update in October 2021, which featured cosmetic blueprints for two Vanguard weapons added to Warzone as additional free items from the seasonal battle pass. The full integration was released on December 8, 2021, to coincide with the launch of Vanguard's first post-launch season.[40][41]
GameSpot gave the game a 7/10 rating, summarizing with: "Warzone is a great sophomore attempt at a battle royale from Call of Duty, which finally manages to carve out its own identity with interesting spins on the existing formula. Its subversion of death and the nail-biting Gulag duels give you more ways to stay in a match, while also forcing you to be aware of your surroundings even after wiping a rival squad."[45] IGN also gave the game a 7/10 review score, stating: "Call of Duty: Warzone's beta remains thoroughly enjoyable even in spite of the serious concessions to depth made in the name of instant gratification."[46]
Unlike the linear battle passes of previous Call of Duty games, Warzone 2.0 has you unlock rewards across a map using Battle Tokens. Though initially rather complicated, the system allows you to choose which rewards you want first - to a degree, at least - with this page outlining what's available and when.
Fortnite has finally found its killer in Call of Duty:Warzone. Since its launch, Warzone has been an overwhelming success with millions of players going at each other in this epic new battle royale. Warzone isn't done yet though, publishers have planed on adding new maps, weapons, and modes to the game. As such, the addition of new content may test your PC so meeting the minimum and recommended graphical requirements is necessary now more than ever.
Fun fact: the minimum system requirements for Warzone are the same as the minimum system requirements for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare! In order to drop into the war zone with graphics settings set to Low, players will need hardware that is at least as powerful as the following. In your video card slot, your computer should have at least a GeForce GTX 670 or a Radeon HD 7950. In addition to your GPU, your CPU needs to be at or above an Intel Core i3-4340 or an AMD FX-6300. You will also need 8 GB of system RAM to enable your PC to run Warzone with passable FPS. If you want to drop into the fray of battle with your graphics settings maxed out, you will want a PC that also passes the recommended system requirements test.
As of February 15th, 2023, Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0 has introduced its Season 2 content, including a new map and a Battle Pass with ranks, rewards, and operators that players are able to progressively unlock. In addition to Ashika Island as a fresh battlefield, players are able to grind for operator skins, free weapons, blueprints, and nearly 1,100 CoD Points as potential earnings. Even if players don't purchase the Premium Battle Pass for 1,000 CoD Points, each Sector tier has multiple gifts for those without enough of this in-game currency.
Your Battle Plans mission assigned by the Shadow Company in season five is to eliminate key Konni targets to obtain their battle notes and cargo ship instructions. Hence, there are two main objectives of the Battle Plans mission:
To collect the battle instructions from Konni targets, head to one of the active combat zones on your chosen map. You can recognize the active combat zones from the continuous exchange of gunfire between AI combatants and smoke in the area.
Once inside the active combat zone, eliminate the Konni targets and search their bodies. You will notice that some of them drop a large map on the ground after dying. These maps are the battle instructions you are looking for.
Once you have killed enough Konni fighters and collected three battle plans, you must deliver the battle plans to a nearby dead drop location. The Dead Drop locations are spread throughout the map as white-colored garbage bins.
You might have to visit multiple Active Combat Zones to collect three battle instructions from Konni targets. If you are afraid of getting killed or targeted by other players, you can drop each of the collected battle instructions separately.
First, if all Operators are trying to complete the same faction mission, they may want to party up and tackle it together. Alternatively, if one group is newer to DMZ and can convince a more experienced party to help them out, that could help them survive in a match longer. Or, in situations where two squads are in a heated battle, they can ultimately decide to save their ammo, assimilate, and revive each other before soldiering on.
The next era of Battle Royale is upon us with Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0, the redefined free-to-play experience introducing all new gameplay features and new modes like DMZ. It all starts with Al Mazrah, the epic battleground from the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II universe.
The Warzone 2 Battle Pass (which is also the Modern Warfare 2 battle pass) is split into sectors that players can navigate across for different rewards, or focus on a singular sector for more rewards. So rather than a straight line of progression, it's more about unlocking sectors, which then make the sectors around that accessible. Then you can unlock those new sectors, or invest more heavily in the ones you've already unlocked, depending on which has the rewards you're interested in. It's not as complex as it sounds, don't worry, and we'll cover this tile-based system of a battle pass below, along with all Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare 2 Battle Pass rewards you can get from it. With that in mind, let's cover how the MW2 and Warzone 2 battle pass works, and how you want to go about completing it.
The Modern Warfare 2 Battle Pass release time was at 6am PT / 9am ET / 2pm GMT on November 16, 2022, which means it's live right now. That's slightly before the release of Warzone 2, but around the same time because the two games are set to share Battle Pass progression, so the launch of Modern Warfare 2 Season 01 has been timed to ensure regular multiplayer and battle royale players are on a fairly even footing from day one.
The Modern Warfare 2 Battle Pass will share progression between Warzone 2 and Warzone mobile, which is set to release in 2023. This means that, regardless of whether you're jumping into regular multiplayer or battle royale, all of your successes will ultimately contribute to your overall battle pass level. It's possible that each game could have its own unique battle pass rewards, although the vast majority of unlocks should carry between the three games. If you want to speed up your progression, we've got some separate pointers on how to earn more XP fast in Modern Warfare 2.
In Battle Royale, you and a group of friends can drop into a massive firefight to be the last squad standing. Drop in, armor up, loot for rewards, and battle your way to the top. Additionally, Warzone introduces Plunder, where players drop in with their teammates to grab the most cash to win. Players earn in-game cash by eliminating opponents, completing Contracts, and controlling key cash deposit locations.
The Battle Pass Bundle will then include plenty of BlackCell-themed content in addition to that included in the premium battle pass. This includes an exclusive sector to bring the total to 23 for those who front the extra cash.
