Train to Poipet?

I'd like some info on the train from Btb to Poipet. 

Where is the station?

How much is the fare?

How long is the ride?

Are the cars air conditioned?

Are seats available or are they filled up by the time the train gets to Btb?

The Fare is free until December

The ride is about 3 hours

Not sure about air condition. But my educated guess is NO.

You can go to the train station and ask for the ticket.

And no I have not ride the train.

I dont know how to use google maps that much. But on the map it says " Battambang Royal Railway Station". Or if you go on google maps and type

"Battambang Royal Railway Station" it will show. It is parallel street from 100 street towards Boeng Ra (I think is a lake).

The train to Poipet is very clean, about 3hrs. I have taken the train from Poipet to Battambang. My phone selef destructed so I do not have they phone number. The phone number at the station is very confusing. What you see is two phone numbers connected together. What you see is xxxxxxxxxxxxxx. Take the first 10 digits or the first 6 digits and the last 4 digits. Example 0123456789 or 012345xxxx6789. Now remember this is not their number just an example of how to understand the misprint on the sign. Every time I have called they only speak Khmer so have a translator available. The cars are air conditioned, in fact the windows will not open. There is a western toilet on the train, in fect at the time I took the train their was an employee that cleaned the toilets after each use. In the middle of the train there are two electrical outlets. I did not try them so I am not sure if they work. I took the train at the end of July (?). The trains are intermittent and seem to go Poipet south day 1 and back day 2. I hope this helps
