The first annual GeauxHack Hackathon at LSU is a regional competition with 50+ universities represented to compete to complete an app in 24 hours. It is the first Major League Hackathon (MLH) (mlh.io) sanctioned event in Louisiana.
They are looking for professional mentors to move from team to team and assist and guide (but not do work for them).
That means you are PERFECT for this and you probably would have loved it when you were in school. If you're not able to attend, please share with your friends.
GeauxHack.com<http://www.geauxhack.com/> It starts this Saturday, Aug 30.
From Howard, one of the LSU students organizing it: "We are looking for people who have experience creating different application it can be web app, IOS, Android, working with various electronics or with various APIs. Because hackathon is very open-ended it is really hard to predict what will the participation do but majority of the people will work on either web app or a mobile app due to the time constraints."
