If you have a different environment (such as Skype for Business Cloud Connector Edition), hybrid is not configured, or your users are not enabled for PSTN calls, the supportability matrix will be different.

A Skype for Business hybrid environment with PSTN connectivity provides flexibility regarding where user services are provided and how user accounts are provisioned and managed. But the abundance of options might create some unsupported combinations. This section explains different combinations of user creation, followed by a supportability statement.

For all users, the user object must be created in the on-premises AD and synchronized to the Microsoft Entra ID using the Microsoft Entra Connect tool. Enabling users for Teams/Skype for Business is not supported if the user object is created directly in the Microsoft Entra ID in a hybrid configuration. For new users, such as a new hire, who will be enabled directly for Teams, the user must be enabled for Skype for Business using on premises Skype for Business management tools. Creating users in online Skype for Business or Teams without first enabling them in on-premises pool with Enterprise Voice is not supported. For more information on this, look into Plan Phone System with on-premises PSTN connectivity in Skype for Business Server.

Background: To test whether children awaken from slow wave sleep and perform an escape procedure better in response to a smoke alarm that uses a male voice, female voice, combination of a low-frequency tone plus a female voice (hybrid alarm), or high-frequency tone.

Conclusions: Use of the male or female voice or hybrid alarms in children's sleep areas may reduce residential fire-related injuries and deaths among children old enough to perform self-rescue.

Impact: The male voice, female voice, and hybrid alarms were each significantly more effective than a high-frequency tone alarm in awakening children aged 5-12 years from slow wave sleep and prompting their performance of an escape procedure. There were no significant differences in the effectiveness of the male voice, female voice, and hybrid alarms when compared with each other. Use of these alarms in children's sleep areas may reduce residential fire-related injuries and deaths among children old enough to perform self-rescue.

Other VoIP and SIP work over other 4G modems, so it is not like it is impossible. iPhone did have to have a software update to enable VoLTE to allow VoIP over 4G, but its very existence proves it is more than possible.

Obviously this is not a question I am looking for a solution to in regard to making it work, because I know it won't. I am just curious as to whether anyone has any knowledge or theory as to why it doesn't work, or perhaps, why they have decided not to allow it to work?

Its not a standard VOIP service, and relies on a direct physical connection between the Smart Hub 2, and the core network, this ensures a secure connection with quality controls. As hybrid connect uses the mobile network, this connection does not exist.

Converting your BYOC Cloud or Genesys Cloud Voice organization to a hybrid media organization is made possible by two key features and consists of a five main phases. The two key features are Hybrid Media Edge Groups and Site Links. The five phases consist of: 1) Making your organization hybrid media capable. 2) Pairing your new BYOC Premises Edges to Genesys Cloud. 3) Putting your Edges into the Hybrid Media Edge Group. 4) Configuring Edge interfaces to use Site Interconnects. 5) Enabling and configuring Site Links.

The first phase consists of adding BYOC Premises to your BYOC Cloud or Genesys Cloud Voice organization. When you do so, Genesys Cloud migrates your current organization to a hybrid media organization and activates the BYOC Premises telephony connection option.

At this point, several new components, including the key features, are added to your organization. These new components will not come into play until you perform the steps in the second, third, and fourth phases. Until you do so, your organization is hybrid media capable, but will continue to function as a standard BYOC Cloud or Genesys Cloud Voice organization.

The second phase involves pairing your BYOC Premises Edge devices with Genesys Cloud. The process that you use to pair your Edges with Genesys Cloud will depend on which BYOC Premises hardware solution you chose to use.

The fourth phase involves specifying the network port interfaces on your premises Edges using the Site Interconnects feature. Under hybrid media, Site Interconnects allow Edges in various sites to communicate with each other. For each type of Site Interconnect that you want to enable, you select the interface that you want to use. There are three types of Site interconnects: Direct interface, Indirect interface, and Cloud Proxy interface.

Enabling Site Links establishes a connection between your premises core site and the cloud media core site. Once you enable Site Links, your premises core site has access to all the resources in the cloud core site. Likewise, the cloud core site has access to all the resources in the premises core site.

With special nods to legendary Waldorf synths of the past plus a highly engineered interface and a whole host of features never before seen on hardware synths, Waldorf Quantum MK2 represents the culmination of decades of development and is truly the flagship synth of the future.

Quantum combines the raw power of classic digital/analog hybrid synthesizers with futuristic sounds that are only possible with today's intensely programmable softsynths together in a sleek and accessible user interface designed with the modern synthesist in mind. With a huge, attractive screen, inviting control panel and top-notch keybed with polyphonic aftertouch, Quantum MK2 is an instant legend in all possible ways.

When Waldorf introduced Quantum in 2018, it immediately found its way into the studios and hearts of the most acclaimed film composers, producers, musicians and sound designers. Quantum MK2 further expands upon this incredibly powerful platform, adding 61-key polyphonic aftertouch from Fatar, increased sample storage and improved mechanical design and display. The 3.0 firmware allows for up to 16 digital filters, or up to 8 analog + 8 digital.

Quantum MK2 is the first instrument with a Fatar TP8/SK polyphonic aftertouch keybed. With increased possibilities for musical and gestural expression via the keybed, the Quantum synthesis engine can be more deeply modulated and texturally explored. The polyphonic aftertouch is highly customizable in multiple dimensions globally as well as for individual keys. The high-resolution graphical display supports visual feedback and control for the customization process. In addition to its internal poly aftertouch keybed, Quantum MK2 can be controlled by any MPE-capable controller by directly connecting to Quantum's USB host port.

Based on an eight-voice analog dual-filter architecture, Quantum MK2 delivers 16 voices of polyphony in any combination of using digital dual multi-mode filters with the eight analog ones. Moreover, the combination of analog with digital filters reinforces what Waldorf Music has stood for since its beginning: hybrid digital and analog synthesis. Flexible voice allocation modes give the musician easy control.

Another cornerstone of Quantum MK2 is its increased internal sampling storage, going from a few GB to 59GB. Quantum has quickly become the instrument of choice for sound enthusiasts and cinematic composers from Berlin to Los Angeles thanks in no small part to its modern advanced sampling capabilities. All along, Waldorf Music has listened to the requests and needs of musicians and added a polyphonic granular sampling engine alongside its traditional multi-sample engine.

The updated mechanical design and a classy naval blue finish presents the musician an instrument of beauty and inspiration. The improved mounting of the high-resolution touch display provides wider viewing angles and an intuitive way of controlling the more advanced features of the Quantum synthesis engine.
