House Music Maestro Nathi Maphumulo, better known as Black Coffee, tied the knot during a traditional ceremony to his fiancee, and mother of his son, Mbali Mlotshwa today.
ZARonline brings you the exclusive coverage of the couple as they officially embark on their journey.
The ceremony took place at Mbali’s family home in Mofolo, Soweto, where friends and family of the couple witnessed the union of the Maphumulo and Mlotshwa families and the theme was gold and white/black. Mbali, who wore traditional Isizulu maiden wear, looked as radiant as ever and she was complemented by the ever stylish Black Coffee as he stepped out in a traditionally modernized cream suit.
The Maphumulo family came bearing gifts as per usual traditional ceremony and they were prepared to welcome Mbali as part of their family. Gifts included a goat which was presented to Mbali’s mom, blankets, coats and groceries, amongst other things. A very happy Black Coffee, who is known as the one hand master for his ability to set the decks on fire, could not keep his eyes off his bride.
Guests included celebs such as DJ Fresh and his wife Thabiso Sikwane, Demor from Shana, Bonang Matheba, Manaka Ranaka, DJ Christos and his wife Tebogo, Snuki Zikalala and his wife, and Brenda Sisane just to mention a few. Mbali and Black Coffee were blessed with a baby boy earlier on this year and the couple were under the spotlight as many questioned their relationship.
Well, this traditional marriage goes to show that the two are in love and still going strong.
The happy couple.
