Hello bassists all,

I believe a few of us on this list are members of the International Society of
Bassists (ISB), so this one's for you.

I will be telling my "Acoustic Stories" at the ISB convention on Wednesday, June
5, from 9:00 to 9:45 AM in room 514 in the main building of the Eastman School
of Music in Rochester, New York.

I'll be telling stories about:
Pickin' bluegrass with the Grateful Dead's Jerry Garcia, and bumping into
Stephane Grappelli and Isaac Stern backstage;
Playing a hair-raising bluegrass cocktail gig for a U.S. President; and
Concertizing with Peter, Paul & Mary.

If you're attending the ISB next week, please stop by, give a listen, and
introduce yourself. I'd like to meet you.

I'll also be hawking my new book, "Acoustic Stories: Pickin' for the Prez and
Other Unamplified Tales."

This is a limited edition of 1,000 cloth-covered, dust-jacketed books,
hand-numbered and signed on the colophon. Its 33 stories are printed on heavy
bond with high opacity and brightness to best display the 49 photographs, many
of them by top music photographers such as Annie Leibovitz and Jon Sievert.

Hoping to see you there,
Bill Amatneek
