Hey bassists-all,

Just a plug for my book, Acoustic Stories: Pickin’ for the Prez and Other Unamplified Tales, which is on sale this holiday season at the publisher’s website for $20 plus shipping and tax. (Amazon carries it for $27 plus shipping and tax).

These are stories from my life playing bass with Tony Rice, (the late great) Bill Keith, Bill Monroe & Peter Rowan, Jerry Garcia, Frank Wakefield, Roland White, Jim Hurst, and other bluegrass luminaries. And yes, there’s one about playing a death-defying cocktail bluegrass gig for Dub-yah.

Acoustic Stories won a silver Forward Reviews Book of the Year Award in the Fine Arts & Music category, and would make a fine addition to the library of any bluegrass bassist, IMHO.
