For some reason my gmail has stopped working on my iPad just a couple of days ago. I purchase the iPad in early Sept 2013 and gmail has always been set up as a email account under settings (not the separate App). I have 2 email accounts and the outlook works fine...but the gmail does not open...the wheel just keeps spinning and the message shows...checking for mail...but nothing happens. I can access my gmail account through my PC or when I download it as an app but it does not work using the mail option as it was originally set up.
I have tried to correct the problem but it doesn't seem to help. 1) I removed it as an email account...then did a reboot of the iPad and after it was removed and rebooted...I added it back in under settings.the same problem is still there. I also made sure I was logged out of my PC gmail,account..to ensure there wasn't some sort of a conflict. I was able to download the gmail App and it seems to work fine except it does not operate the same as the mailbox option (which I prefer) instead of having a separate App.
Odd problem that I can't get resolved. I use the GMAIL app on my iPhone and 12.9 new iPad pro. I enabled evernote as an add on. I can see the evernote icon on the bottom of the iPhone gmail app emails, but no icons appear on the iPad emails in the gmail app. Any ideas?
I have enabled Dropbox in my Files app on both my iphone and ipad and downloaded Gmail for Dropbox add-in. I now can attach Dropbox files if I open gmail in Chrome on my ipad and iphone, but the Gmail app offers few options (camera roll, recent attachments, Drive, and attach money) in attaching files, and I cannot figure out how to add to those options.
