Hi everyone!

I am new to the Basilisk Solver. I download the tarball using the wget and I tried to compile from the source following the instructions.

However I encounter few errors during the installation and I am not sure what's happening here. Attached the image for reference.

Can somebody help me with this regard?

Thank you!

Hi Bharani,

These are warnings not errors, so you should probably be fine.

can you please do:

qcc --version

and send the output.

Hi Stephane

Thanks for your response. Its indeed seems to be just a warning. Earlier I forget to add the Basilisk PWD to bashrc because of which i was having error when i run qcc --version.

Thank you!

Hi,

I am having a problem with installation of a similar nature. All other aspects of the installation are fine, but when I go to check "qcc --version", I get "Command 'qcc' not found, but there are 18 similar ones".

I am running on Ubuntu with gcc 11 when compiling. I have also added the relevant export commands to the .bashrc file.

The warning below appears, but as this is not an error, I think this should be ok?

I am quite unsure of what to do as I have tried the installation many times with various methods. I am assuming that the path is not being set correctly in .bashrc, but I don't know how to amend this.

Thanks,
Evan

Hi Evans,

> I have also added the relevant export commands to the .bashrc file.

As the '.bashrc' file/script is executed only once (when the shell
starts), you need either to:

- open a new shell
- re-execute the '.bashrc' script using e.g

% . ~/.bashrc

Also check that you can run qcc "directly" i.e. using something like:

% $BASILISK/qcc

hope this helps,

Stephane
