Hello all,

This is my first time using Basilisk and I am trying to install on an M1 mac (MacBook air 2020, Big Sur 11.4) and am having some issues. I've tried following the installation guide here http://basilisk.dalembert.upmc.fr/sandbox/INSTALL_MACOS
but keep getting
make[1]: Nothing to be done for `all'.
among other errors.

I have attached the output I get on make -k. I have tried make -k and make using the config.osx configuration and the config.osx_arm64 that was posted in another thread on here.

I understand that there are a lot of issues with installation on mac so any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,

Seth

Dear Seth

That is strange. I helped a lot of people wirth mac issues but never saw that one. I will review the process and get back to you.

Best

Stéphane

PS :
> make[1]: Nothing to be done for `all'.

Hello,

have you used the arch -x86_64  switch to account for the ARM?

Hi Stephane,

I've got it working now, I'm able to run the bump2D test. I had tried changing to x86 architecture before but mus have made a mistake somewhere in the process since it seems to work fine now. Thanks for the help!

Seth
