problem installing basilisk in windows 10

Hello,

I am new in basilisk and I am trying to install it on my windows 10 computer following the instructions on the website. I have ubuntu and all the steps worked up until the command make-k and make. I am posting the photos of the problem. After, I tried the tutorial on the website to see if basilisk runs and I had another problem: First, emacs does not open on another window (it opens in the terminal) and then, I run the program bump.c and get all errors. I post also the pictures of that. Please can someone help me?

Hello,

For emacs which only opens in terminal : are you using the windows subsystem linux (WSL) ? if it is the case, you need to install and launch an X-server (resolution of this topic on the net,, I had this problem once). The basic idea is that WSL can't open any graphical applications without this X server.

For bump.c : you run it with gcc instead of qcc (qcc for basilisk c)
