Hello everyone,

I really appropriate your previous hints. I am trying to use new Bview on supercomputers. I followed the instructions on the instruction link provided. However, I did not understand the 4th step:

4. Open Basilisk View using ws://localhost:7100 as server address.

I didn't understand what to write on the command line.

Also, if I want to install whole bview (both server and client) on the same system,  how should I install bview?

Thanks,
Mohammad

Hello Hooman,

You don't have to install the new Bview (Jview) to use it on the on a supercomputer (the image will be generated using supercomputer power (the server) and finally outputed on your laptop (the client) using its GPU). Generally speaking, it is not recommended to install Basilisk directly on supercomputer, instead you should generate a C source code following someting like this http://basilisk.fr/src/examples/atomisation.c#running-in-parallel
To use Jview on a supercomputer I recommend you tu follow this http://basilisk.fr/src/jview/README#option-when-ssh-port-forwarding-is-not-allowed
For the step 3, once you have clicked on the link generated in the display.html file (on the supercomputer) it should launch jview on your web browser on your laptop . Then you should enter ws://localhost:7100 as server address on the tab you can see on the image attached.

Cheers,
Nelson
