Earth environment - clouds condition - question

Hi, 

I want to create a scenario where satellites are observing the Earth. My question concerns the weather conditions of the earth's environment. Is it possible to set a random cloud environment and print a hint (or generic signal) when the satellite observes or does not observe the clouds? Is the terrestrial scenery observed by the camera a PNG or is it a modifiable code?
