I am just starting to learn vb and want to develop an application which is
useful while I am learning (to make it more interesting so I keep it up!).

I want to retrieve some information from an ODBC datasource which is alredy
set up on my computer. I have used excel to create queries before - can I
use something similar to a SQL statement in VB and if so what statement do I
use? Also, how do I put this information into the correct variables?
