We are very excited to announce the BaseSpaceCLI -- our first release of the BaseSpace Command Line Interface. With BaseSpaceCLI you can upload Samples, launch apps, and list entities from the command line.

We are also releasing an update to BaseMount that includes proxy support (with BaseMount you can mount and download your BaseSpace data on the command line). BaseSpaceCLI and BaseMount are both command line tools that can be used separately or together.

Here are some helpful links:

Hi Eric,

Thank you very much for this. I would like to add it would not resolve/find my key using linux mint.
A piece of code written in the basespace manual  (found it here) actually solved my issue:

# Import BaseSpace Sequence Hub GPG key
curl https://bintray.com/user/downloadSubjectPublicKey?username=basespace | sudo apt-key add -

Perhaps it will help others who have issues installing it.

This is great! Especially given the scriptable cloud infrastructures that is now the norm (ie Docker, Swarm, Machine etc). I was wondering if there are options to "release" the data from the Basespace realm on AWS directly under my AWS account using the CLI (in order to avoid the pain of downloading and reuploading again) via a EBS volume cloning or similar operation. The reason for asking is after I have streamed data from a MiSeq run, I would like to do some interactive data analysis outside the Basespace containers.

Best regards,

Ntino

Looks really nice. Is there a way to share projects with our collaborators using this?

Hi Karel!

Thanks for your interest - would you be able to email your question in to techs...@illumina.com? This forum is good for customers and developers to chat, but the tech support team actually uses the CLI quite a bit and there's also more of them, all around the globe, so we should be able to answer questions like this pretty quickly!

Thanks -

Kevin
