[Basement Films]

It's that time of year and EXPERIMENTS IN CINEMA 5.1 had it's opening
this past weekend on Saturday at the historic KIMO THEATER. But it's
far from over! There will be workshops, guest speakers and tons of
great avant shorts like you may never have seen before happening this
Wednesday through Sunday. This is a multi-venue festival so check out
a full lineup at http://basementfilms.org/experiments/. In fact, that
web page should have a pdf to view all the movies, dates and
descriptions in this year's festival.

Really, this is gonna be great, just like it has been for the last 4
years! Special thanks to chief organizer Bryan Konefsky, his
assisting hard-working class, the UNM Department of Cinematic Arts,
the McCune Foundation and all other great people and groups that I'm
momentarily forgetting this second that made this indispensable must-
happen cini-shindig live and breathe amongst us one week out of the
year.

As many probably know, this is Basement Films co-throw and we're darn-
tootin' happy to be a part of making it happen!
