Hmmmm, that kind of comment is not going to go over too well.... I sense a war brewing.

First, the Red Sox have 7 World Series Titles
Second, the Yankees have 26 World Series Titles
    {Just a little suspicious of the facts from this source}
Third, it's true that the Yankees have more World Series Titles ... since the beginning of baseball ... but for the sake of argument, let's just throw out the 20th century. In the 21st Century the Red Sox have two WS Titles and the Yankees have zero, zilch, nada, nothing, you get the picture.
Fourth, Yankees suck!

Ok, ok... so, 2000 IS formally part of the 21st century although it is
debatable. I'll give those swines 1 WS title to Bosox's 2.

I'd like to point out that not only are there kids and grandmas on this
this thread, but there are Yankee fans too. And honestly, we have
feelings you know.

I weep on the inside. Do you have any idea what it's like to have a 7
year drought, with no WS titles? You can't possibly imagine how hard it
is to watch your team get so close only to see it all slip away, time
and time again.

Oh wait ...

I'm not sure that Kleenex will do it. I know from my very own experience that what is necessary is something with a bit more durability like a towel, something that you can wash over and over again so you can keep reusing it. Also, a quick retort to every problem always calms the savage beast, like "Yankees stink" (props to the Board of Egregious Violators) or some richly conceived obscenity laden comment.  I also know that an ample supply of Tums would be necessary. You can't forget scapegoats, you'll need plenty of folks to lay blame on like owner, general manager, arrogant left fielders, etc.

Hope this helps. I'm sure there are others out there who can add to the list. Let's be considerate of our brethren who suffer from the same pains now that many of us have suffered in the past. It is not a lot to ask to provide them with the valuable nuggets we have all used over the years to cope with each of our own pain and suffering.

O, yeah, Yankees suck!

I red-lined a couple of grammatical errors on your part.  I think I am getting the hang of this retort thing.

I thought after 2004 that Red Sox fans would stop obsessing about the Yankees.  No such luck then, and unfortunately no such luck now.  The Red Sox (abomi)Nation wins again for the second time in a century and all I hear is "Yankees this Yankees that."  To not win it all and still have all the power -- that's what it's like to be the Yankees.

No, I'll tell you what it's like to be the Yankees....

At the oceans deepest point, the water pressure is the equivalent of having 50 jumbo jets piled on top of you. Yet even here life thrives. A recent soil sample taken from the Challenger Deep (nearly 7 miles beneath the Pacific Ocean surface into the Mariana Trench off the coast of the Philippines) revealed a rich community of living species. Scientists estimated the total numbers of species supported at this depth to be about 4,000 microbe organisms. The soil itself at this depth was found to be an oozing primordial soup of various layers of microbe and organic matter thought to be the fecal matter of life in the ocean. It is under this layer that the Yankees can be found.

It sounded to me that an NR Hornet baseball player that played for the Crow" is actually saying something nice about the Yankees (suck). I don't care where he lives now. Tim & Jeff please give Chris a beating and suspend his Red Sox nation citizenship.

Thanks, HAMMER
