I posted a 2009 spreadsheet of potential trip opportunities for 2009.
I say this with the caveat that I'm not sure I'll be able to make this
year work -- for me. Lots going on this summer. But for kicks I pulled
together two potential routes... the Northwest and the Corn Belt.

The Northwest is intended to hit Seattle, San Fran, and Oakland with a
potential side trip to see the Portland Beavers.

The Cornbelt is a Minor League/Prairie League route that starts in
Sioux Falls down to Omaha and then across Iowa. Potential side trips
could be the Bob Feller Museum and Field of Dreams.

Thank you for your research and sheet spreading. It's always exciting
to see what you've cooked up.

This summer looks to be an expensive one for us, as we prepare to hand
over large sums of money to some institution of "higher learning" to
house and entertain Taylor for several years. I know you and Tim, and
perhaps other BOers, have similar or other big ticket items on the
horizon. So, I don't think the Northwest is realistic or, at least,
prudent at this juncture. A lower cost, and, perhaps, shorter (3-4
days?) trip, however, such as the Corn Belt tour sounds great. We're
also open to it being further east, such as Rust Belt or even NY/Penn
League trip, if that will foster more participation. (Do you Red Sox
fans want to converge on Cooperstown to usher in Jim Ed July 24-26?)
Our window is between mid-June and mid-August, whatever is decided.

On another note, I apologize for yet-another tardy report on BO08. I
hope to complete it before Spring Training begins. In the meantime,
