Anyway 2010 is upon us and along with it are the 2010 baseball
schedules. I have put together my traditional spreadsheet which is
accessible below if you care to look at the home schedules of all of
the teams I am considering for our Northwest tour.
http://groups-beta.google.com/group/baseball-odyssey/web/2010BaseballOdysseySched%20v.1.xls
But to summarize:
Teams being considered to visit are the Vancouver Canadians, Seattle
Mariners, Portland Beavers, Eugene Emeralds, San Francisco Giants and
Oakland Athletics.
I think I mentioned this in a previous post but I'm also trying to
schedule a "service day" where I make arrangements with an
organization in the community we are visiting for all of us to
participate in some sort of community service project. All of the
proposed tours have room for a day of service.
Here are the potential tours I am throwing out there for
consideration. The date represents the date of the first and last game
of the tour and the order of the cities refers to the orders of the
games. Please refer to the spreadsheet for more detail.
April 12 - 15; Seattle, Portland, San Francisco and Oakland; room for
an additional day for day of caring in the Bay area
May 2 - May 5; San Francisco, Oakland, Portland, and Seattle; room for
an additional day for day of caring in the Seattle area
June 22 - June 26; Vancouver, Seattle, Portland, San Francisco, and
Oakland; room for an additional day for day of caring in the Bay area;
this tour has the added benefit of the visiting Red Sox
June 23 - June 28; Vancouver, Seattle, Portland, Eugene, Oakland, and
San Francisco; room for an additional day for day of caring in the Bay
area
July 18 - July 22; San Francisco, Oakland, Portland, Vancouver, and
Seattle; room for an additional day for day of caring in the Seattle
area; this tour has the added benefit of the visiting Red Sox AND that
we could see them on multiple occasions in Seattle!!!
July 21 - July 26; Vancouver, Seattle, Eugene, Oakland and San
Francisco; room for an additional day for day of caring in the Bay
area
August 10 - August 16; Seattle, Vancouver, Portland, Eugene, San
Francisco and Oakland; room for an additional day for day of caring in
the Bay or Seattle area; this tour has the added benefit of seeing a
team with a name that refers to subatomic particles (Albuquerque
Isotopes)
And to your second point, yes and they're still ugly, too.

| Hermano, Thanks for this info. Turns out we have conflicts with all but the 2 July trip dates. April/May Sam is in school. June Sam is on Church Mission trip and August is back to school preps. That leaves July which might brush up with Maine, but maybe that's OK. We could probably work out either of the 2 July dates. |
