For those interested (and sorry for the delay), here is a quick follow-up summary from BO-Lite 2009 (6/12 - 6/15 - midwest Cubs and minor league tour). Jeff/Andrew, feel free to steal commentary and pull into blog site as you see appropriate. I put some descriptions on the photos posted on Flickr Andrew that might help if you're doing a write-up.
The photos - http://www.flickr.com/photos/timohaynes/sets/. Click on the BO-Lite 2009 set. I think Chris took a bunch too. His are probably better than these I took on my cell phone.
WINNERS based on the 3 games in Wrigley, Fort Wayne and Indianapolis:
- Attendance Wrigley - Taylor
- Attendance Fort Wayne - Steve
- Attendance Indy - Cooper
- Total Home Runs - the total for 3 games was 3 HRs (wow - that's low!) and everyone went over. Taylor
and Cooper were closest with 6
- Total Pitchers - 24 for 3 games. Steve was closest with 21.
- Total Runs - 26 for 3 games. Tim had 26.
- Mound Visits - 13 for 3 games. Sam had 13.
- Fantasy Baseball - Steve (Taylor a close second after a strong showing at the end)
- Most Memorable Quote - Andrew - "I think I'm going into sugar shock" After eating Bob Evan's famous stuffed-n-stacked pancakes with an extra layer of pancake and cream.
Hitting minor league parks was good fun! Thanks again to the Tonachels for being the great hosts that they are (especially Lisa)!! Looking forward to next year!!
Tim

Columbus sounds like a worthy destination. Glad you finished off BO09 with a couple dogs and a bang.
Now, on to the stats:
Wrigley: 11 runs, 2 HRs, 11 pitchers, 7 mound visits
Parkview Field: 9 runs, 1 HR, 6 pitchers, 2 mound visits
Victory Field: 6 runs, 0 HRs, 4 mound visits
Hope I didn't miss anything.
Great to see you and Sam.

As Steve and Sam will attest, the new Huntington Park in Columbus is a site to be seen. We thought a Monday night would be quiet and easy to get seats. Little did we know it was "dime a dog" night and that there would be a record attendance (12,000+). Sam, Steve and I got in for general admission ($6) and roamed freely. Once the game started, finding a seat was no problem because people were in line for hot dogs. Hot dogs are good, but once you've had a couple, that's enough. I'm working on getting the photos off my camera
phone. FYI (for the record and for everyone on distr - esp Jeff), winners of awards were: - Attendance Wrigley - Taylor
- Attendance Fort Wayne - Steve
- Attendance Indy - Cooper
- Fantasy Baseball - Steve (Taylor a close second after a strong showing at the end)
- Stuffed-Pancake Eating - Andrew
Andrew - to do the other awards (runs, mound visits, HRs, etc), I need you to send me tally's for the Fort Wayne and Indy games you scored. OK? Thanks for a great time. BO lite is less filling, but tastes GREAT!! From: Chicago Tonachels <tona...@earthlink.net> Subject: Lisa's package To: "Tim Haynes" <timoh...@yahoo.com> Date: Wednesday, June 17, 2009, 8:35 AM
I came home to discover my wife received a lovely floral bouquet. For one split second, she thought I had done it. Then, she opened the note to find out the real deal. You impressed her. Now knock it off!
