Hi all and Dean in particular,

What happened to Chrome? I see you used it in the HTML5 now package
but the demo's are offline. I really would like to dive into it now
that I'm using JSB and all... In exchange I could write up some
documentation.

Kindest regards,

Marijn

What demos are you talking about? Let me know and I'll try to fix them.

Chrome is a set of behaviors that mimic native UI. I'll write up the
components eventually but they are mostly based on HTML5 and are
configured in the same way.

I'd be happy to explain how chrome works if you want more info. Post a
link to the (broken) demos first and we can start from there.

Hi Dean,

I can't find the URL right now but I do remember there used to be a
page where some of the widgets were shown as example. The sliders,
steppers etc. I wan't to make a plugin for the symfony form framework
that takes advantages of the existing widgets in Chrome and perhaps
add a few myself. Next to that I want to create a validator package
for JSB which uses attributes set on the input elements to validate
the fields. A small example of the latter can be found here on github http://gist.github.com/226610
. (the doctype definition is extended to make the page validate)That
example is really a proof of concept, but you'll get where I'm going.
I think this would be really neat since it would mean a symfony user
could define his database schema, configure the forms to use the
appropriate widgets and the rest would happen automagically. Really
nice market to tap in with base2 I'd say.

Anyway, let me know what you think it's time Base2 got the attention
it deserves!!!

Kindest regards,

- Marijn

I updated the Gist slightly to make everything a bit more readable.

I believe there were examples of the Chrome widgets on the pages
mentioned in the following thread:

Are you reminding me to post an example of chrome? :)

The previous example:

http://base2.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/test/jsb/test40.html

The page still works but the path to the background images has changed
so it looks like it doesn't.

I'll try to provide a working example as soon as I can but you may have
to wait until the next update of html5-now.

Sorry for the delay.
