I recently released a preview of a new project to provide HTML5 support
to legacy browsers. It is consistent with the philosophy of base2
(propping up old browsers) and is built on top of JSB. Pasted below is
the email I sent to invited experts. You guys are invited too:

Hello HTML5 enthusiasts,

A bit late, but as promised, I've started a small support/interest group
for my HTML5 library.

The code is now available for download and review:

http://code.google.com/p/html5-now/downloads/

I'd still like to keep this a secret for a while so please, no blogging! :)

Please download and test the library. I am looking for input in the
following areas:

* Standards support
* Usability
* Accessibility
* JavaScript interoperability
* Graphics/look and feel

If you want to invite more members to this group then *please do*. I
will post some more information here in separate emails. I will try to
cover the following subjects:

* Architecture (how it works)
* Supported elements
* Support browsers/platforms
* Web forms (big enough to be its own subject)
* Accessibility and ARIA support
* Testing
* Scripting support
* Future developments
* How to use the library (it's pretty easy)
* Known bugs/limitations

Once we have discussed those subjects a bit we should have enough
information to put together a showcase web site. I would really like
some volunteers to help with this so round up all the people you can.
I'd like to spend another few weeks creating documents and test suites,
there are also some code tweaks that are needed. But after that I am
happy to go public with this project.

There are some test pages included in the download. They are pretty
crappy but give you something to start with. For the time being, the
canvas element is borked in MSIE. I will fix this in the next release.

If this library is to succeed then I will need quite a lot of help.
Developing, testing and debugging something like this is very time
consuming. Please help! :)

Wow Dean,

Once again you amaze me. Unfortunately I don't have the time right now
to look into any of this but I'll definitely do so in the future.

If there was an oscar for backporting new specs, you would have won it
three years in a row:-)

Kindest regards,

Marijn
