National Night Out

Hi People, long time, right?

I'm writing to you to invite you to participate in "National Night
Out". This event is on August 7th 2012, and I encourage everyone to
get involved. The 1600 block of Curtis St will be meeting that evening
-- last year we had a small but interested turn-out. People brought
goodies to eat and drink, and we met with the Chief of Police and his
wife, former City Manager Kamlarz, several BPD officers and our local
fire dept brought their newest and shiniest truck.... a lot of
information was shared, and neighbors enjoyed the opportunity to get
together and talk.

While you are welcome to drop by our block -- and I hope you will --
if you would like to organize your own block (or series of blocks) for
this event, please feel free to contact them at www.natw.org for
registration information. They send out information and literature to
help make it an informative event.

Some neighborhoods with a large contingency of members have really
HUGE events -- maybe one of these years we can do this conjointly as a
whole community, rather than a block by block event.
