Join us Wednesday, April 4th, for the monthly MPA Club meeting. This
meeting is of EXTREMELY IMPORTANT because we will officially be
opening CLUB OFFICER ELECTIONS for the 2012/2013 school year. The open
offices and duties include...
President*
* Represent the Club in SP...A and Baruch Graduate School community
* Liaison between the Club and SPA academic and administrative
leadership
* Attend at least one (1) GSA officer’s training workshop
* Identify, cultivate and/or steward strategic partners for co-
sponsorships and promotions (e.g. Zicklin/Weissman/SPA student clubs,
professional associations and MPA groups at other universities)
* Lead and coordinate monthly Club meetings
* Delegate responsibilities that do not clearly fit under the
description of any specific Officer's duties
Vice-President
* Assume responsibilities in absence of President
* Assist president in building strategic partnerships with Baruch
graduate clubs
* Oversee special events – building committee support from club
members, working with executive board to execute
* Schedule and arrange monthly Club meetings
* Prepare materials for annual Club elections
* Represent the Club in the Graduate Student Association
Secretary
* Take and disseminate Club meeting minutes to all active members
* Oversee all communications mediums to communicate effectively to MPA
Club members – including Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Google Groups
and Collegiate Link
* Oversee all marketing – creation of flyers, promotional materials
* Maintain the roster of active members
Treasurer*
* Manage all of the Club's financials according to the guidelines set
by CUNY, as stipulated in The Informer
* Prepare the Club's annual budget proposal to the GSA
* Oversee the reimbursement of funds from Club related activities
* Attend at least one (1) officer’s training workshop
* Serve as a delegate for the Club for School of Public Affairs
Network (SPAN)
(*note: The President and Treasurer are signing officers and are
responsible for all financial transactions for the Club)
