Dear TSA Members,
The Cultural Division of TECO-NY is pleased to announce the first 2008
New York Academic Forum! The purpose of this monthly forum is to
strengthen solidarity among Taiwanese students studying abroad in the
United States as well as to provide an arena in which our students and
scholars can display their knowledge.
The first forum will be held on Friday, September 26th at 2:30 p.m. at
our offices at E 42nd Street. Two speakers will be giving
presentations that afternoon. The first will be a speech entitled
"Logics in Writing: Write Your Own Rhythm in the Paper" from Mr.
Harry Chien, a Ph.D. candidate from Carnegie Mellon University. The
second will be Dr. Jonathann Kuo, an anesthesiologist from New York
Presbyterian Hospital who will be presenting on the subject of "Pain:
Current Concepts and Management." Please see the attached file for
more information.
I strongly hope you can all attend this event. Please feel free to
