The Blaupunkt Fiete is a nice small folding bike. When the shipment arrived, it was noticeable how much lighter it was from other folding bikes we have reviewed. Overall first impressions of the Fiete are that it is a well made, quality ebike.

Along with a quality finish, the Fiete is easy to fold and unfold. Folding and unfolding the bike is simple, just a few steps and you can get the bike ready to ride, or ready for storage. Also, weighing 47 lbs, it is easy enough to lift into a taller vehicle with ease. It also packs down small to take up less space. You can also purchase an optional Blaupunkt rolling case to put the bike in for transportation.

Talking with the Blaupunkt team at Sea Otter Classic this year, they mentioned this bike has been a favorite for small plane pilots who want to bring a bike with them. I had never thought of that being a use case, but it makes sense as the smaller planes have pretty strict weight limits. The pilots would bring the bike with them on flights and use it to get from the plane on the runway back to the airport. Pretty neat use case.

The Blaupunkt Fiete is an ideal bike if you are looking for a lightweight, portlable folding electric bike. Coming in under 50lbs makes it easy for those that need to pack it into a smaller space, whether that be the trunk of a car or carrying it up some flights of stairs.

Forget about the software, any thoughts on the picture quality on Blaupunkts specifically the 4ks at Officeworks? I have a shield I could use rather than the software it comes with so wondering what it would be like as a second TV in the bedroom.

Founded in 1924 in Berlin as "Ideal,"[4] the company was acquired by Robert Bosch AG in 1933.[5] In 1938 it changed its name to "Blaupunkt", German for "blue point" or "blue dot", after the blue dot painted onto its headphones that had passed quality control.

Blaupunkt took over a former Philips/Grundig factory in Portugal to produce automotive head units. It is still owned and operated by Bosch, used exclusively to make OEM units for car manufacturers and 24V (e.g., Coach) AV equipment. Later, factories were set up in Tunisia (speakers) and Malaysia (speakers and electronics).

In 1949, Blaupunkt advertised the first FM-capable car radio.[6] By the 1960 and 1970s, Blaupunkt had become one of the leading German manufacturers of car radios and car audio equipment. In 1983, it began selling an in-dash CD player.[6]

Blaupunkt was involved in developing the Autofahrer-Rundfunk-Informationssystem traffic-information system for car radios and provided this feature on their German-market car radios from the late 1970s. The company attempted to have ARI used in the United States but had only a few radio stations per major city involved.[citation needed]

For many years, Blaupunkt car audio equipment models often carried the name of a city somewhere in the world, e.g., "London RDM126". In Blaupunkt model terminology, this can be translated as "An RDS CD player capable of controlling a Multichanger, rated at 430 W RMS (4 30 = 120) from the model year 1996". High-end models typically had German place names.[citation needed]

Blaupunkt also used the brand "Velocity" to sell products aimed at the top, audiophile end of the market. Audi, Volkswagen, Porsche, Mercedes-Benz, Proton, Vauxhall, Pontiac, Holden and BMW all fit Blaupunkt (now simply Bosch) products into their cars, often branded with the car manufacturer's mark (e.g., The VW Gamma, Audi Symphony or BMW Business CD lines), with Fiat using them, occasionally unbranded but generally unmodified. Some later Holden Astra models are fitted with Blaupunkt systems (with others being produced by Delphi Automotive). Blaupunkt also specialised in coach installations, selling TVs, multiple-speaker setups, and PA equipment to that industry. That part of the business has remained with Robert Bosch Car Multimedia GmbH, a 100% subsidiary of Robert Bosch GmbH. The Blaupunkt branding is no longer used, even on 'hidden' stickers.

On 12 July 2012, Blaupunkt signed an agreement with Rockford Fosgate granting the Rockford Corporation exclusive distribution rights for the company's car multimedia and headphones range for the North American market. Rockford Fosgate sold Blaupunkt products, including car radios, navigation, amplifiers, loudspeakers, rear seat entertainment, connectivity, and electronics for the OEM market through distributors.[7][8]

Blaupunkt is a brand closely associated with car stereo systems. And they are one of the important players in that segment. So, when I heard about the German audio brand selling their own earbuds, or what is now fashionably called TWS, I was not sure what to expect from them.

In this variant, the German audio maker does not provide Active Noise Cancellation (ANC). But it does offer a feature called Environmental Noise Cancellation (ENC). ENC CRISPR TECH can filter ambient noise when you are on a call, allowing you to pick up only the human voice. This can help cut down background noise during calls.

On the audio experience, Blaupunkt BTW300 gives a slightly higher bass output. And that is distinct right from the first track you play. The German brand has ensured enhanced bass does not distort audio quality. When I streamed movies on OTT, action sequences had a decent sound output sans distortions or jarring vocals. Blaupunkt has adequately balanced treble and bass in these earbuds.

Charging and battery backup were impressive. The earbuds are powered by a fast-charging technology that stores an hour of charge within 15 minutes. And in one full charge, the earbuds can go for nearly 40 hours of non-stop playtime. On the Bluetooth connectivity, the earbuds was able to stay in range with a connected device as far away as 15-20 feet and in cases where the devices were separated by two or three walls.

Blaupunkt has changed hands over the years, with the most recent transaction occurring in 2009 when the original owner sold it to Aurelius AG in Germany. A few years later the company filed for bankruptcy, and GIP Development of Luxembourg now manages the brand. The name translates into blue dot, which references the blue dot that quality control experts placed on items that passed QC tests.

Blaupunkt offers three e-bikes: Fiene, Fiete, and Henri. They are the same model in different colors: orange, blue, and gray accented with black. Blaupunkt had a larger e-bike lineup but has reduced the size to one model in three colors. Shoppers can purchase accessories like carrying bags, and tall riders can add telescoping handlebars and seat tubes to adjust the e-bike ride heights.

Unpacking the bike is easy as it has quick-release tabs to open the back and access the folding pedals and handlebar. The design engineer did well crafting the folding components, as this bike folds down into a small enough space to fit in the hatch of a subcompact car. It has a magnetic closure system to stay folded, making it easy to pick up and put away without any unwanted surprises. It even has a little wheel so you can drag the folded bike!

The e-bike has a Blaupunkt 36V 350W rear-wheel hub motor with 50 Nm torque. Additional performance features include a 6-speed Shimano SIS circuit shifter, 20-inch puncture-proof 2.125-inch tires, three-stage pedal assist, and a throttle assist.

The folding e-bike can travel up to 20 MPH and has a 36V lithium-ion battery that charges in about 5 hours. Riders get 20 to 25 miles out of the battery, depending on the terrain. Blaupunkt claims the e-bike has 45 miles of battery range. The removable and lockable battery case is in the frame. Hydraulic brakes easily stop the Henri.

The Blaupunkt Henri has LED lights and reflectors on the wheels for visibility. It also has a chain protector and kickstand. Riders appreciate the mudguards, especially when riding on trails. It does not come with an attachable bag, but the manufacturer sells several that fit nicely on the handlebars.
