Iam interested in knowing what company owns Netspeed Communications (www.netspeed.com.au) fter the complete debacle of iiNet closing down Grapevine. It took me at least a half a day to changeover all my internet logins to suppliers, government, utility companies etc. Now, a friend told me iiNet also owns Netspeed although my research has not yot proven this. In any case, I'd rather start the changeover to a different email provider if iiNet is lurking waiting to shutdown Netspeed in their next sequence of bastardry.

From what I can see Netspeed is still a privately owned company based here in the ACT. Further to that cannot see any actual links to iiNet (aka TPG), although it possibly would pay to find out where their backhaul is derived from. If it is Telstra or Optus that should be ok, but if it's through Vodafone I would treat that as a warning sign, as Vodafone and TPG are intertwined, and subsequently iiNet as well.
