This page contains a list of cheats, codes, Easter eggs, tips, and other secrets for Metal Gear for NES. If you've discovered a cheat you'd like to add to the page, or have a correction, please click EDIT and add it.
There is a way to collect multiple items without having to go in and out ofa room to get them. When in a room with an item or ammunition, pick up theitem, then press the Select button and access any of the menus. PressSelect again to return to the game, and the item should appear again. Youcan do this as many times as you like until you have the maximum amount ofammunition or items for your rank.
There are two ways to avoid having to destroy the super computer in the Final Base. One way is to find the room with the flashing floor (it is the room immediately prior to the computer room) and move to the top of the screen. When you get to the next room, move to the right and exit at the bottom. If done correctly you should be in a room with Big Boss.
Another way is to go into the room that faces Solid Snake and push the d-pad RIGHT. This action should send you to Outer Heaven's room.The benefit of these tricks is that the timer for destroying the super computer is never set!
Enter the password "TOOOU TOOOU TOOOU TOOOU TOOOU" to skip to the end of the game. This will put you into the room with the Super Computer, and all you have to do is head right and go into the first elevator door and go up.
Every now and then you'll come across holes in the ground that will swallow up your character. If you quickly pause and unpause the game as soon as they start to appear it will freeze them and you can safely walk by.
The following cheat codes are for Game Genie. These can be used on a Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) with a Game Genie device or you can use these on any emulator that supports Game Genie Codes. If you want a Game Genie Device, you can always check on Amazon for one.
Basically, I've finished the game, done all the missions (some of them 2 or 3 times), the side ops, and almost all of the replay missions that pop up later on. Even so, I'm only at R&D level 45, still really far away from meeting the R&D team requirements for a lot of weapons and items (level 60 being the highest, I think). I'd like to play around with those items, but I'm not going to just grind the missions over and over (and over) to get them. I'm not interested in playing online, so an offline-only solution or a save-game file would be fine. It seems as if the R&D requirements are calibrated for a longer game, which MGS V is rumored to have been before it was rushed out the door by Konami. So is there a file I can edit or something to either just unlock those weapons and items immediately, or a way to edit my R&D team level?
There isn't a distinction between offline and online gameplay for Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, as such there are not any cheat codes as changes in the single-player mode would affect multiplayer mode.

There are 11 Memento Photos. Complete side ops 51 to 60 to unlock the first 10. Then return to Paz and hand over the 10 photos. Head back to the ACC and return back and you will see that the 11th photo spawns outside her room on the wall.

In order to unlock every trophy and achievement in Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain you would not only need to complete all side ops and main missions, but you would also need to take care of optional mission objectives and complete them faster using the best stealth method. In short, the player needs to be highly skilled and patient as unlocking all of them will take a lot of time.
Complete all key Dispatch Missions. The key is to develop FOB and engage yourself in as many Combat Deployment missions. Another thing to be noted is that you need to grow your motherbase by unlocking more struts and recruiting more soldiers. There are 20 key Dispatch Missions, several Generic Dispatch missions and Response Dispatch missions.
Make D-Dog available for deployment. There is no known location where you can find D-Dog but with a bit of exploration you should find it within the first six missions. I found it randomly during the first three.
Your transceiver can pick up a wide range of frequencies, but only a few of them are actually of use to you throughout the game. The following is a table of people you can contact, and what frequency they can be reached on. Note that once you reach building 2 and beyond in the game, your contacts will change their frequencies.
The following are a set of codes that you can enter that allow you to cheat by advancing your rank, increasing capacity limits, or giving you items early on. To enter these codes, you must pause the game with the F1 key, type the codes on the keyboard exactly as indicated (spaces and all), and unpause the game with the F1 key.
