History of Zero
Taught by Mistress Dorcas Whitecap of Forgotten Sea
These days zero seems so simple and natural that we accept it with no reservation. Many civilizations had number systems with no symbol for zero and did not feel any need for it. This class will explain how Europe got along without zero during our period, how it came to Europe and how it finally caught on. Yes, there will be Roman numeral arithmetic!
