Diwali Planning meeting Sep 6th 2013

Guys,

Our first Diwali meeting will be held at Vamsee house on Friday Sep 6th 9.00 pm.

We will finalize the date and various committee and other items on this meeting.

I have also attached a modified last year excel sheet which we can use for this year planning.

Since the current facility is not available for Oct 25th, Can you find any other place which can accommodate around 250 people along with permission for fireworks.

If you can find out before our first meeting this Friday, it will be great.

I have checked with Frying pan park, and they have availability for Friday Oct 25th and Nov 1st. This party hall can accommodate up to 200 people. Rent is $95 per hour and Good part is they have stage too. 

Only hick up is fire works are not allowed, for which I think we can still do in our community near the club house on some different day in weekend, so that we don't have to rush for doing everything on same day. Just my 2 cents.

Jimesh - We are doing our Diwali party on Nov 9th. Oct 25th/26th is not possible, bcoz the high schools kids can't make it.

Frying Pan park is Nice venue for us..but that's not close to Our Place...and When we discussed Initially about venues...we didn't prefer Frying Pan park bcoz of the distance and  Fireworks too. Sreedhar Malipeddi  blocked that venue for us on Oct 27th / Nov 8th and later cancelled

 

We need to how many are OK with that Venue as well.

Is there a string reason for us to NOT go with the Nov 9th?

Fireworks is a good celebration for everyone including kids, not doing this on a Diwali party would not be fun

Something else that we have look at is the capacity of the venue.  I believe their event hall is not big enough to handle Barnstead crowd (200), its about half the size of our last Diwali venue.    Been there a couple of times and remember having alcohol.
