As mentioned at the last meet up, theres a fair few buisnesses based in barnsley (or at least in part based).

Heres a couple that suprised me...

What i was thinking is build up a list of local buisnesses with a short review, that way we have it down somewhere.

Arduino, Raspberry Pi, components etc. Tiny shop on Silver Street, Huddersfield. Most sales online/eBay I imagine. Friendly chap, always ready for a chat.

I found out about years ago, They sell some awesome stuff, They used to do open days throughout the summer for people to go and build their kits with the proffessional help and toold thats there if they had issues or for people who just wanted to go see jet engines being built. Not sure if they still do this and I never got chance to go to any :(

Also its worth noting that the head office of Maplin electronics used to be in Low valley, Darfield, (Near the race track at the bottom of station road in Wombwell for anyone not local lol) They have since moved to Manvers which is technically Rotherham but meh....

Dont know any other cool local companies...none that spring to mind anyway.
