So, what is your favorite play ever performed at Barn Lot? What play
would you like to see done there?

I would love to do Guys and Dolls.  I love that one.  I guess by default my favorite play ever performed at Barnlot is Jesus Christ Superstar, but who knows what the future holds.
:)

PS: If we ever do Guys and Dolls make sure there is no fertility drugs in the water !!!!!!!!!!!!

I love musicals - OKLAHOMA, Grease, Oliver, just to name a few. My
favorite is Mamma Mia. I saw it first in London, then the North
American Tour, and would love to be in a stage version. Can't wait
for the movie to come out this summer!

I attended the play "Jesus Christ Superstar" tonight (Saturday). It
was my first time at Barn Lot Theater. I was greatly impressed with
the quality of the performance, the directing, the casts stage
presence, everything. I've loved that play since it first came out,
have worn out a couple of record sets, watched the live performance
back in the 70's watched the movie in a theater when it first came
out, and have watched it several times on VHS, and always enjoy it. I
must admit to being a bit leery about attending the play here in
Edmonton, feeling I could be letting myself in for a bad performance
of a play I love. I was delighted that was not only wrong, it was
terribly wrong. I cannot think of a time I have enjoyed Superstar
more.

I'm very happy you enjoyed it!  I wasn't in this one but was just in Steel Magnolias.  I just didn't think I could handle another immediately after.  However, as one of the volunteers of Barn Lot, it means so much to me to have others realize how much work goes into a production and also to have people simply enjoy it.  I hope you come back to Barn Lot...I don't think you'll be disappointed!

As a cast member, I can say on behalf of all of us, your comments are
greatly appreciated. I hope you will return to see another show.
Once again, thank you very much and I am glad you found it worthwhile.

My favorite play @ Barnlot would be "Little Shop of Horrors" from the 2002 season. There were so many of the actors in that production that were great and I saw the production at least 4 times.

Thanks so much!!! I was a member of the cast and I can say that it
was really fun to do. We have bounced the idea back and forth about
doing it again. Do you think it would be too soon? Of course some of
the cast members would change, but hopefully things would only
improve.

If Superstar were to be repeated at Barn Lot some time in the future,
I would definately attend. Again my thanks to the cast and to
everyone involved in bringing that play to life. It was a wonderful
evening.

I don't think it would be too soon. I'm not sure what cast members would change. I am aware that Ken passed away. He was great in his role. I also think the girl that played Audrey (sic?) has moved away or at least I heard she had. There were several other characters in that production, that I thought did great in their roles...if I recall correctly you were one of the three girls on the street, but I cannot recall what the specific name was for those characters.

It has been quite sometime, since I have been to a play @ Barnlot, as I now live far away, but I hope one day to be returning to that neck of the woods, as I have job prospects in the area. I will most definately be attending some Barnlot productions then and possibly before then if all goes well. Keep up the good work!

as an active member at Barn Lot I would love to see the play "Sweeney
Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street" put together. I think its a
fun exciting play with fantastic songs that everyone would enjoy. But
ofcourse it would have to be cleaned up a bit from the movie version,
which shouldnt be hard.

and Dracula would be great to do again. Amazing set, and a GOOD script
would be great. I would love to be in both.
