On April 20, the Center for Translation Studies at Barnard College
will host a tribute to Serge Gavronsky — poet, novelist, translator,
and Professor of French for over 50 years at Barnard College.

Center director Peter Connor recently interviewed Prof. Gavronsky on a
wide range of topics in anticipation of the event, "Conflicts in
Translation: A Tribute to Serge Gavronsky," which takes place this
Friday afternoon, Apr. 20, at 2-6 p.m. in the James Room of Barnard
Hall on the Barnard College campus.

Speakers include Mary Ann Caws, Maryse Conde, Lydia Davis (BC '70),
Suzanne Jill Levine, Richard Sieburth and Serge Gavronsky.
