Here’s who’s hitting the stage:
Clint Brown: Back from the KZN bushveld, Clint brings his sharp wit and original "baby-boomer folk rock" to the club.
Carlo Fortune: A powerful voice in roots reggae and folk, Carlo blends spiritual resistance with classic rebel sounds to keep the movement alive.
Gordon Rocker: Channeling the spirit of Elvis, Gordon delivers a soulful, electrifying set of classic rock and roll melodies.
On the Edge: This versatile three-piece closes the night with a lively fusion of Indie, Rock, and "Rickabilly" that’s guaranteed to get the room moving.

Clint Brown

Clint Brown is no stranger to the Barleycorn stage, having been a fairly regular contestant in the club’s annual songwriting competition. He will be emerging from hibernation in the KZN bushveld and offering his unique brand of original baby-boomer folk rock, where life in the bush inspires country ditties and avoiding tick bite fever.

Carlo Fortune

Carlo Fortune is a South African roots reggae and folk artist, cultural activist, and truth-speaker whose music rises from the soul of resistance. Inspired by Bob Marley & The Wailers, his sound merges classic rebel reggae with a new generation’s pulse. Through works such as Young Lion, Still We Rise and Jah See All, he carries forward reggae’s mission of liberation through sound. Rooted in Rastafari principles of love, truth and liberation, his art bridges the spiritual and political, reminding the world that reggae is not just music but movement.

Hailing from Cape Town, South Africa, Gordon Rocker is a singer, songwriter and rhythm guitarist who has captivated audiences with energetic live performances and a lifelong dedication to classic rock and roll. Inspired from an early age by Elvis Presley, his music reflects a passion for timeless melodies and dynamic stagecraft. His songwriting, versatility and engaging performances have established him as a rising talent with a soulful style and electrifying stage presence.

On the Edge is a band for all occasions, having played in shows showcasing their original songs which have been playlisted on various radio stations. Their musical styles incorporate Rock, Indie & Rockabilly. They’ve also played extensively at venues all around Cape Town at weddings, birthday functions, pubs, sports clubs, etc. The band has an extensive repertoire to cater for a wide variety of music. This 3 piece outfit is sure to liven up any party and consists of the following members: Rick Drew - ‘Rickabilly’ on drums & vocals, Hilton Milward bass guitar and vocals & Mike Taffinder lead guitar & vocals.
