TINA BUC
--------------------
Tina Buc grew up in the North-West of Germany and studied Music at the Universities of Muenster and Dortmund. She wrote her PHD about the German-Austrian composer Hanns Eisler, who is best known for his long artistic association with Bertolt Brecht and for the scores he wrote for films.
Currently Tina is working as a music teacher at the German International School in Cape Town and as a performer and songwriter. “I’m deeply believing in music being a unifying and healing force. My songs deal with the daily struggle of facing a complicated, distorted but beautiful world. What makes me happy: Performing with others and creating a space of sharing with the audience.”

CARLA CONRAD
--------------------
“Carla had her unofficial EP launch last night. (I think this was at the Cottage Club on Saturday 17 June?) Her music is sublime. She channels a bit of Joan and a bit of Janis. Sheryl Crow and Julia Stone. She is a rockandroller mixed with intriguing fragility. Watch her fly. Plug into You was my favourite new song.”— Matt Mercer.
Carla is a Singer/Songwriter, with versatility in genres ranging from soft rock, folk-pop and adult contemporary. With the use of sincere vocals coming from a deep experience of living, she invites you to a universe of raw and expressive storytelling, with just enough dark edge to make it intriguing.

THIEVES AND FOXES
--------------------
Thieves and Foxes is an alt. indie pop trio from Cape Town’s Northern Suburbs. The band's members spent years cutting their teeth in various alternative, punk and folk acts, often sharing the stage with each other. Drawing from that experience, and a vast range of musical infuences, they mix haunting vocal melodies and poetic storytelling with melancholy riffs and synthetic beats, to create a pop-like sound that lands somewhere between indie and folktronica. Their approach to storytelling is deeply personal—pitting the ghosts of the past against a hope for the future.
