This coming Monday, Therese presents:

Celine

Celine is a pioneering South African singer, songwriter, musician, and actress who has been writing and performing her own music in some shape or form since a young age.

Born to be on the stage, this trailblazing musician takes pride in creating accessible, yet intricately crafted musical landscapes in which her listeners can find acceptance and inspiration in equal measure.

As a confident artist and composer, Celine plays guitar, drums, and bass guitar, and lays down fresh, invigorating vocals on original pop songs that feature a unique blend of confessional lyrics and a layered rock-influenced sound.

Her powerfully emotive delivery is nuanced by both strength and vulnerability, providing the backbone for a refreshing folk-inflected style that also weaves together elements of adult contemporary, blues and jazz.

Kayleigh Bell

Kayleigh Bell, is a singer/songwriter from the Eastern Cape. She is known for her indie/acoustic mix of covers and original songs. 2020 has not held this budding artist back as she released her first single in August and signed with STFD Studio and Just Music. Her live performance brings an honest and raw feel to it and is not one to be missed.

FLØRIS

FLØRIS is a solo artist based in Cape Town, South Africa. His musical style incorporates elements of Indie, Pop, Alternative, Disco, Funk and Soul. He creates guitar textures layered on top  driving bass lines accompanied with ambient synth sounds, driven by a steady groove and topped off with punching vocal melodies, all blended together to create a soulful, upbeat and most importantly, groovy signature sound.

Having picked up guitar playing at a young age and being instantly obsessed with the creation and performance of music, he has been surrounded by musicians and involved in various musical projects ever since. What started out as an impromptu open-mic performance after moving to Cape Town and taking a musical hiatus for a few months, turned into multiple residencies at one of Cape Town’s most renowned live venues, The House of Machines, and quickly grew into the full-steam solo outfit that we see today.

This solo project is the product of years of experimentation and determination to find the ultimate sound that resembles not only him as a songwriter, composer, and musician, but also as an individual exposing a glimpse of his personal perspective to the world.
