Meet Milan, a vibrant singer/songwriter calling the creative heart of Cape Town, South Africa his home. Having travelled across the diverse landscapes of South Africa, he's soaked up inspiration from its people and vibrant energy.
Milan crafts music that's a fusion of Indie Folk, Rock, Dance, Punk, Electronic and Reggae – a conscious and intentional blend designed to uplift and put a smile on your face. He believes, “what you speak you create”, and so has penned positive lyrics for people to sing along to. With live TV appearances on SABC3, chart-topping radio hits, and performances at major festivals, Milan is no stranger to making waves in the music scene.

Original Folk duo Jenny & James from Cape Town South Africa are two parts of the original Jenny & the James’s trio. With a fresh new sound, Jennifer Eaves (guitar & vocals) and James Hall ( fiddle & vocals) weave together new material inspired by their love for folk music, storytelling, and Celtic music. Jenny & James have been performing together for the past 7 years in and around South Africa, and more recently have enjoyed performing in the Netherlands & Scotland.
Performing a mixture of original folk music combined with Celtic tunes, this duo crafts a show that takes the listener on a journey through heart felt lyrics, rich harmonies & foot tapping reels.
Jenny & James have performed in venues large and small all-around South Africa, including festivals such as the Cape Town Folk and Acoustic Festival, White Mountain festival, Barleycorn Festivals, Voorkamer Festival, Taste of Darling Festival, opened for Johnny Clegg on the Holland leg of his world tour, and were invited to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2019.

Get ready for an unforgettable evening of world-class music as we present the Steve Newman & Nish Pillay Live at Barleycorn!
Prepare to be mesmerized by the extraordinary talent of Steve Newman, a virtuoso guitarist who has been a member of several renowned bands, including Tananas, All in One, In the Clouds, Aquarian Quartet, Jika Nelanga, Mondetta, the Road Warriors, Steve Newman trio, and has also performed as a soloist. Tananas, one of his notable bands, has captivated audiences worldwide with their mesmerizing performances at concerts and festivals across the globe
Joining Steve on stage is the incredibly talented Nish Pillay, a nomadic percussionist who brings a fusion of genres to life through his mesmerizing tabla performances. Nish’s love for playing multiple genres of music shines through in his performances. His expertise in tabla and other drums adds depth and rhythm to every composition he collaborates on. Nish has collaborated with South African legends like Ard Matthews (Just Jinjer) and Arno Carstens (Springbok Nude Girls) to name a few.
This live show promises to be an extraordinary showcase of virtuosity and musical brilliance.
