FEATURING:

--------------------

David Greenwood & Friends

--------------------

David G is a one-of-a-kind, South African singer/songwriter and visual artist. Although (fittingly) small in stature David’s songs are massive. His songs tell stories of his own life experiences. Crunchy and thought-provoking his lyrics paint a picture of his life experiences and overcoming the odds through discovery, and hope. David is passionate about inspiring people to find hope and healing.

David G and friends make powerful acoustic and electric arrangements giving them a unique ‘folk-rock’ sound. Joining him are Willem Moller and Derek.

--------------------

Dale Collins Duo

--------------------

Dale has been a stalwart of the local music scene and is best known for his work with the Boulevard Blues Band.

Having been persuaded to dust off some of his original songs by his good friend, Gustav Franzsen – who will be accompanying Dale on bass guitar – you can expect to hear a set of thought-provoking songs about everyday life under our mostly sunny, but sometimes sullen Southern skies.

--------------------

Dave Starke

--------------------

Dave Starke is a singer-songwriter in the folk tradition. With a bent for the melancholic, he writes haunting melodies that float upon gentle guitar accompaniment with occasional touches of whistling. Trained as a teacher and currently working as a counsellor, his songwriting draws on philosophy, psychology and social commentary to create self-reflective songs that are deeply rooted in the South African context. Dave has just relocated to Kalk Bay, Cape Town after 18 years in rural Zululand – this will be his first Barleycorn appearance since coming home.
