Jasper Dick

Jasper Dick is a singer/songwriter based in Cape Town, South Africa. A jack-of-all- trades, he loves to create original songs in a wide variety of styles from folk and rock to blues and kwela, whatever can be used to elicit an emotional response. The lyrical content of the songs is equally varied with themes of politics, war, love, and heartbreak, mixed with more upbeat and humorous numbers. Jasper also loves to interpret covers to suit a stripped-back acoustic performance.

Old Dogs band

Old Dogs band is a three-piece Folk-Rock band, based in Cape Town, South Africa, Comprising; Bill Knight (Guitars and vocals), Derek Craig (Drums and Vocals), and Jeremy Stephenson (Bass Guitar and Vocals).
All their Songs are written by Bill Knight in his characteristic “Kaapse Mengsel / Skollie Rock” style. A mixed bag of Influences: Folk, Rock, Blues, Mbaquanga, Maskandi, Reggae, Kaaps, Tamatie.. and a good helping of Attitude.
Their Breakout album, “in Full Cry”, continues to delight Fans and Reviewers alike.
Their new Album, “Howling Again”, published by Shoreline Songs, was released on 29 November 2023 to an ecstatic Capacity Crowd at Café Roux.

Tim Parr

Tim Parr rose to fame with southern-rock blues outfit Baxtop in the late ’70s before co-founding iconic ’80s band Ella Mental. The group scored radio hits and played major South African festivals. Returning home after a stint in Ireland, Parr’s acclaimed solo album Still Standing cemented his place as one of SA’s expressive guitarists and songwriters.
Now based in Johannesburg, Tim leads the Tim Parr Band, with new music, albums, and collaborations in the works — continuing a lifelong journey in sound. Tim Parr has returned with his long-anticipated new EP, Malachi’s Dream, a work that both honours his storied legacy and reaffirms his relevance in today’s sonic landscape.
As the founder of genre-defining bands Baxtop, Ella Mental, and Zap Dragons, Parr’s latest offering is a timely reminder of his enduring artistry. Blending textured instrumentation with evocative lyricism, Malachi’s Dream sees Parr navigating themes of introspection, social awareness, and personal tribute. The five- track collection brims with timeless resonance and bold creative choices.
