MEL MALISCH

Mel Malisch is a singer-songwriter residing in the seaside village of Kommetjie, in Cape Town, South Africa. Trained in classical piano from the age of 6, and influenced by the emergence of grunge style indie-folk music during the early 90's, she has a natural ear for un-expected musical arrangements and infectious melodies. She plays the Acoustic guitar, Piano and the Ukulele, and has a unique singing voice and music style which has been described as "authentic" and "personal". Her songwriting journey began after the loss of a loved one, and the result of this channeled energy has seen her latest singles play-listed on local radio stations, and her performance tally sky rocket.

MATT ROUX

Matt Roux is a seasoned entertainer on the Cape Town scene, having performed the length and breadth of the Western Cape over the past 14 years at all the major venues to thousands of people. Matt is a previous winner of the annual Barleycorn songwriter’s competition. He’ll be performing heartfelt original songs from his album Square One, some new originals and selected covers to draw a line back to his influences. DANNY DE WET

DANNY DE WET, from eVOID, Petit Cheval and Wonderboom, author of 'Sex, Drums & Rock 'n Roll... in Africa' the definitive book on the history of SA Rock, will be performing an unplugged/storytellers set: full of crazy anecdotes and and lots of Dylan songs feauturing special guest Duck Chowles.
Danny’s four-decade career in the SA entertainment industry includes stints at prestigious record companies, marketing Prime Circle/The Parlotones and co-owning the famous Wings Beat Bar venue (at which The Springbok Nude Girls made their Johannesburg debut and Chris Chameleon’s university band held down a residency).
As a musician, he has headlined every major festival in South Africa, playing to over a hundred thousand fans at the milestone Concert in The Park charity event and appearing on bills with Simple Minds, Live, 30 Seconds to Mars, Korn, The Mission, Muse, Kaiser Chiefs, Mike and The Mechanics and Good Charlotte.
