I recently downloaded an expansion pack, but, when I was installing the game, I couldn't find the product code. I used to be able to right click on the cover of the expansion pack and go to details to get the product code, but now Origin updated on my computer and I can only view the base game details/product code. I have tried checking the confirmation email and using the base game product code but nothing has worked.

@srlewis17 You shouldn't really need the product code if you purchased the game from Origin Store and are installing from Origin client? If you go to install the game from the 'View Game Details' section after right clicking the Sims 3 game tile in origin client are you asked for a product code?
I downloaded it after right clicking on the base game, but when you install the game and expansions on a mac another window pops up that takes you through the steps to install (terms and conditions, registration, confirmation, etc.). I'm having trouble with finding the registration code/product code (20 letter/number code) which I used to be able to find by right clicking on the expansion pack cover and viewing the game details for just the pack, but now I can only view game details for the base game. (for computers with a cd slot the registration code is found in the manual or on the back of the game case, but my computer doesn't have a dvd slot so I have to find the registration code through my account on origin)
I'm having the exact same problem! I just bought Sims 3 World Adventures last night but I never received a serial code in any emails with the receipt or in my order history. And I have no clue as to where to find it.
As everyone else is asking, how do I view my product codes for my DLCs without having to call customer support and deal with that headache? I am not buying the explanation given so far, and my reasons don't need to be explained any further.
Well if you have any friends that have sims 3 supernatural and haven't lost the booklet ask them to borrow it and if you don't well here it is for you
26T3-P2NU-9EHE-GRSG-JHRR. I HOPE THATS WHAT YOU WERE TALKING ABOUT
If you downloaded it from origin; load the origin program and find your game. Click on it and click on the info icon that follows in the pop-up box. That will tell you the game information including, the code.
I bought the Sims 3 Started Pack yesterday and in side was a free copy of the Sims 3 Supernatural however it does not have a serial code as it was not meant to be in the starter pack obviously well anyways tried to add that code that you 2 people have commented on here as being the correct code and I tried it 2 times and I got the following error message "The serial code you entered is invalid. Please enter a valid serial code and re-submit. What does this mean?" " You may have entered the code wrong, You may have already used the code for another account on this site, You may have purchased a used copy of the game and the serial code was used by the original owner, or If you purchased a digital version of the Sims 3 (base copy, expansion pack, or/stuff pack) from Origin, your game is automatically registered to your account. You do not need to re-register your serial code with TheSims3.com" so that code is NOT a working code as of August 30th 2019.
So I finally got a new laptop after the last one was given away to my father. I have the box for the Sims 3 game but the thing is I've lost the booklet that had the registration code on it and I've searched for literally a week and can't find it ANYWHERE. I've checked everywhere and I don't know. What can I do to get the code back? Or get a new code or something?? Please help.
I bought the Sims 3 Pets and Diesel Stuff via the Origin store as PC downloads. I received the confirmation email containing the serial codes, but when I enter them on the Sims 3 website registration page, it says the codes are "invalid". I just bought the games less than 24 hours ago, so do I need to wait 24 hours or longer, or is there something wrong with the serial codes?
This happened to me, too. When I contacted Customer Service by phone they had me send screenshots of the colde and then gave me a new code. I dohope they help you. I think Pets is worth the problems it may create. I would make sure to get a good graphics card for Pets. Graphics cards can make the difference between a fluffy or non-fluffy pet.
I bought the Sims 3 a few months ago and it intalled fine but I recently bought a new computer and I can't find the code to register the game. Is there any way of obtaining the code through the serial number or something? These things should really be put on the box not the little piece of paper inside...Please help!!!
And just for future references, I would definitelly advice to register all your ea games within your origin account. I do that as soon as I buy a new box, just add the serial number onto your origin account and you wont have any problems like that again. At any computer, all you need to do is to install origin and once youre logged in, you can download the game throught the client. No codes needed. Its pretty cool and also handy if you happen to lose the whole box :-)
Hey guys, my girlfriend is trying to register an account for Sims 3 that she bought via Steam. Its asking for her product key/serial code, but Manage > CD Keys only gives her the keys for her DLC? We've tried the 'regedit' method but it only shows '%CDKEY%' where the 20 digit code is supposed to be.
i bought the sims 3 about a month ago and it came with 2 expansion packs. i only installed the actual game when i first got it. today i tried installing the one expansion pack but i can't find the thing witht he registration codes on it anywhere.
I recently wanted to get back into the sims, just had to switch over to ea since origin isn't a thing anymore. I want to download a few things from the exchange but I need the serial code to register my game. How do I find the code? Any help will be greatly appreciated, thanks.
@iggylife0 If you ever registered the pack in either Origin or the Sims 3 store, it's already tied to your account, and you can download it (for free) from your Origin library. Just click on the TS3 icon, then select More > Expansion Packs, and scroll down to the bottom of the list to find Supernatural. Since a code can't be used more than once or transferred between accounts, you'll need to use the same login credentials (email address and password) you did before.
If you never registered the code, you can probably still find in on the computer where it was previously installed. Even if you uninstalled the game, the product code should still be there unless you cleaned out the registry as well. Here's how to find your code:
I recently downloaded two new expansion packs on Origin; however, I can't find the product code for my expansion packs. The email I received from Origin was just a receipt but did not provide the product codes. I really need the codes so I can synch my Sims 3 account to my recently purchased games, but I can't do that without the product codes. And every time I click the Sims 3 to shoe "game details", it only shows the game details for the base game. I paid a lot for those expansion packs and I really want to redeem my product code on The Sims 3 so please, someone help me.
@moistcookiedough If you bought the packs on Origin and shows in Origin that information should migrate to thesims3.com automatically. If you bought the packs through Origin activation should be automatic. BUT if you bought the packs through Origin and really want the codes - open Origin and click Origin in the upper left - click order history - click all - find the packs - click the + and the code should be there.
I know this is long overdue but just in case someone is having the same problem (as was I today until I figured it out), the way you do it on Origin, click you Sims 3 game as if you're going to play it but then click more and then EP and from there you can install the EPs. They provide you with the product code of which you need to copy and paste.
to the person above, i've just found it i think. if you click on origin on your desktop, click on 'my games', then click on 'the sims 3' it says 'product code', and theres a code underneath, thats what you need to use
I checked there. For all the expansion and stuff packs I"ve previously purchased, there is a serial code. But for Late Night, the one I'm trying to download, there isn't. The only difference between this one and the last one is a updated version of the base game and of Origin.
@2039201 open Origin - Origin has been the drm since 2012 so if you haven't switched over by now your behind. Click my game library - right click the game icon - click game properties - read code. If you downloaded (or do you mean installed) and you didn't purchase a code - you need to purchase the code and actic\vate the game.If you bought the game through Origin - the code is in your Origin purchase history. If you bought the disc version the code was on a piece of paper. If you bought just the code you need to contact the place of purchase. If you didn't buy a code - they are not free - you must buy the code to activate the game.
I have tried entering it in Origin where I was then forwarded to redeem the code online in the "my account" tab. I have tried that many times and it states that I am already entitled to the item, yet it does not show in my account. I am very confused and would appreciate some help. Very disappointed!
