I have been having problems with the sims 4 for a few days now.
I've bought two additional contents (My Wedding Stories and Everyday Clutter Kit). I downloaded them, but they did not appear in the game. Then I uninstalled the game and reinstalled it to see if that would fix the problem.
Not at all! Now I have no additional content. All the packs I bought have disappeared from my game, even though they are listed as "downloaded" in the EA app.
Have you ever had this problem? Do you know what to do?
From the EA App, if you click The Sims 4 game tile and click the 3 dots at the upper right corner and go to Manage-> Manage Add-Ons, does your DLC show as installed there? Please grab a screenshot of what you're seeing when you check that.
Hi @EA_Solaire , I went to check in the EA app and it says that all the adds on have been downloaded. I have put a screenshot for you. The download manager also tells me that all the adds on have been downloaded.
But when I start the game, I still don't have access to the adds on.
Thanks for this info! Let's try another full uninstall and reinstall of The Sims and all your DLC. Once that's done, check your Add-Ons again to see if everything is showing as installed, and let me know if you're seeing your content in-game then please.
Since the latest update to sims my game doesn't want to load up properly with my custom content. I had the same cc before the update and had no problem with them, but now when i try to open my game with all my cc i just get a white screen and i can't get any farther than that. I thought maybe it may just be a couple pieces of custom content that was causing the issue so I had loaded it up with a majority of my cc and it worked fine so i started sorting through the remaining 50 some items of cc and it wasn't starting up properly with some of them so i removed them but now that i have everything in that i thought was working fine, it doesn't want to start with everything all loaded up together. I don't know what else to do because I've tried repairing my game a handful of times now and I've tried clearing my localthumbcache thing. I've also tried taking my cc out, then starting up the game and disabling mods, then closing the game, then opening it back up again and reenabling mods, and then exiting and starting it up again. I originally had 382 pieces of cc when the issue started and after i thought i sorted my issue out i had 366 left, and all my custom content is also create a sim items. I hate to part with my cc because its stuff I've gathered over the years and I've literally never had an issue with my cc not wanting to work like this after an update.
@imahobbit4real It's possible that something else (not custom content) in your user data folder is corrupted. It's also possible, although it would be surprising, that a certain cc item is causing problems only some of the time your game loads. But in either case, it's probably best to start with a clean user data folder, test your cc there, and then move your saves and other content to that folder when you're done.
Move your entire Sims 4 folder out of Documents\Electronic Arts and onto your desktop, and when you launch the game, a clean folder will spawn with no content. Move the 366 cc items that worked before into the new folder, create some sims (no need to spend much time on them, since this is just for testing), assign some of that cc, save, quit, and reload a couple of times to see whether it all still works. If it does, you can add half the newer cc items and test them too; be sure to add those to sims, so you know whether those items work. If they do, add half the rest and test again.
When a batch of cc doesn't work, whether it's the original 366 items or the new 16, you'll need to split the batch and test until you find the problem file(s). Since it sounds like the game only goes to a white screen some of the time, be sure to test multiple times. Even with as many cc files as you have, it shouldn't take too long to sort through all of it if you split each nonworking group in half.
I have 12 folders in my sims 4 folder (documents - Electronic Arts - Sims 4) and I've been able to find online what each of them do except one - The "content" folder. I tried google and it gave me results on custom content, which isn't what I'm asking for. What does the Content folder do? There are subfolders with titles like 1.content.beta.pc.3.0.1 and 1.content.beta.pc.3.0.2 which each have even more subfolders. I'm just curious as to what this is, and this thread seemed a better place to post than in bug reports or technical issues. I appreciate any comments. Thanks

All of the routines promote direct, explicit instruction. CERs are responsive to a range of student needs in content area classes. They were designed to provide instruction for all students, including those with learning challenges.
At this time I was working as a fashion designer in Paris and this heavily influenced the builds and items I was attempting to create for the game. I began sharing my progress online and was surprised by the amount of people that also wanted to use my cc, so I set up my Patreon page in September 2017.
The following summer I had struck up a friendship with Hey Harrie and little did we know that a year later we would be making our first collab together, The Kichen. After the success of this collaboration we decided to do it once again for The Bafroom & most recently Tiny Twavellers, with more planned for the future.
The great feedback received from my community about the Kichen set; which was more modern that anything else I had created in the past, gave me the confidence to branch out & pull in influences from my personal taste, which leans more towards the eclectic mix of contemporary, traditional and atmospheric.

The Content Enhancement Routines (CERs) are dynamic instructional tools that use powerful teaching devices and procedures to plan for and teach critical content in an understandable and easy-to-learn manner. Teachers engage students collaboratively to develop understanding in a way that maintains the integrity of the content while meeting both group and individual needs.
Please note that professional development, coaching, and infrastructure support are essential components to effective implementation of SIM instructional tools and interventions. It is highly recommended that you work with a SIM professional developer. Please email si...@ku.edu to learn more.
We reserve the right to address any inappropriate Mods, including Mods that infringe the intellectual property or privacy rights of others, contain obscene, objectionable, or harmful content, jeopardize the integrity of The Sims 4 gameplay, or otherwise violate the EA User Agreement.
A Mod may need to be reinstalled entirely to be compatible with the latest game patch. Keep in mind that it can take time for modders to update their content for a new update, so please be patient with them.
Once you've identified that one or more of your Mods is creating issues, you then need to determine which Mods are the problem. Since you could potentially have many Mods in your Mods folder, this could take time. Here are some tips to speed things up:
No matter how many expansions I own, Sims 4 CC is always where I turn to add exactly the new outfit or kitchen cabinets that my Sims need. As a life sim, the options are pretty literally endless for possible styles and dcor, and fans are constantly making their own custom content sets to fill in the gaps between official game packs.
Sims CC has a lengthy history, and now that The Sims 4 has been out for the majority of a decade, there are hundreds of creators and thousands of creations to add to your own game. Now that the base game is free-to-play, all the more reason to load up on excellent free CC too.
There's more great CC out there than I could ever showcase, but for now I can help you get started with some of my favorite content sets for stylish dcor, city street fashion, retro hair choices, and more. After weeks of hunting, it's the very best Sims 4 CC I've found.
Once you find a few creators you like, you'll know where to start your hunt for your next big CC spree. Installing Sims 4 CC is incredibly easy, which we go over below. Just don't get so carried away on your CC shopping haul that you forget to actually turn on your game and enjoy playing with it all. Not that I've ever made that mistake, ever, I promise.
I've picked some personal favorites for this list, but every one of the CC creators represented here is extremely prolific. If you like the look of a set, I've included links to creators' archives of downloads so you can find even more excellent custom content to install. Many CC creators offer downloads through their blogs or Patreon pages. I've highlighted free to download CC here, but be aware that some creators offer first access to their CC to monthly Patrons.
If you're looking to dig for even more custom content beyond the creators and packs we've collected here, you could spend weeks and months scouring the internet for more. Sims 4 CC is genuinely endless, but there are some tried-and-true aggregator blogs and sites we recommend you surf:
