Hello folks,

on the dashboard of the Bareos-WebUI a table is displayed with the status of the last job. In this table only 10 entries are displayed although I have some more jobs (I cannot click to get jobs 11-…).

The missing jobs are all client-initiated connections which is use to backup remote laptops. All these jobs are configured in /etc/bareos/bareos-dir.d/job/backup-{laptop-....conf.

I find the missing jobs with this sql-query in bconsole:
select JobId, Name, ClientId, JobStatus from Job order by JobId desc limit 10;
+-------+---------------------------------+----------+-----------+
| jobid | name                            | clientid | jobstatus |
+-------+---------------------------------+----------+-----------+
| 62029 | backup-pc-xxx.lan.xxx.de-fd     |       18 | T         |
| 62028 | backup-laptop-xxx.lan.xxx.de-fd |       20 | T         |
| 62027 | backup-laptop-xxx.lan.xxx.de-fd |       27 | T         |
| 62026 | backup-laptop-xxx.lan.xxx.de-fd |       13 | T         |
| 62025 | BackupCatalog                   |        1 | T         |
| 62024 | Disk2Tape                       |        0 | T         |
| 62023 | backup-galadriel                |       22 | T         |
| 62022 | Disk2Tape                       |        0 | T         |
| 62021 | backup-arwen-fd                 |       28 | T         |
| 62020 | Disk2Tape                       |        0 | T         |
+-------+---------------------------------+----------+-----------+

In the dashboard only jobs 62025, 62024, 62023, 62021 are shown.

What do I have to configure for the dashboard to also show the 4 backup-… jobs from the sql-output above?

Greetings, Jens

Hi,

I'm not sure, if I got this right, but what the webui does, is showing
the last status of each jobs. It does that by:

list jobs last current enabled

Could you verify, that this show the expected result when used in the
bconsole?

Regards,
Jörg

Hi Jörg,

the output of your command shows the jobs that are shown in the WebUI.

But the jobs that I'm missing in the WebUI have 'Enabled = "No"' in their job-config. These jobs are triggered by a systemd timer which periodically calls a python script that decides which clients need to be backup-ed.
Does that help to clarify my situation or do you need further information?

Greetings, Jens

Hi Jens,

okay, so that is the cause of the problem.
I suggest to remove the 'Enabled = "No"' and instead have the Schedule
directive not set (probably remove it from the JobDefs). In my opinion,
that makes the configuration also clearer.

Regards,
Jörg
